Good fruit beer and I am not a huge fan of them. It might not be my first GSB choice but i don’t mind having it either. Lots of apricot in the nose, clean refreshing beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 theisti (2821) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Approximately 2 ounce sample at the Brewery tasting room in Bay Shore, New York. The pour is a lightly hazed yellow golden. The aroma has some fruit sweetness, a bit of lemon citrus and also has buttery diacetyl. The taste has more sweetness than I was expecting, sort of a general fruit and malt sweet, overpowering the citrus from the nose, and the butter is also present - this note lingers some. The palate is light bodied, decent carbonation.

Light and sweet with a little lemon. Its trying to be a good sessionable beer and it succeeds. Great choice for introducing new people to good, local beer on Long Island.

fruity and sweet also bright tasting with a fleeting bitter peppry hop zing at the end. To keep you wanting more. really genuine tropical fruit punch just recessed enough with a clean beery blonde malt backbone and perhaps a touch of caramel. all around nice upbeat and refreshing golden yellow brew with some body that you can take anywhere, and drink up.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Lemony aroma, with grains, a light sweetness, and flowery notes. The flavor has pale malts, lemon, and light flowery notes. Good stuff, and very drinkable.

Pouring at TAP NY. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Hints of apricot, toast and wheat. Soft and sweet, fleshy apricot. Very smooth. Sweet and crisp, nice little toast note on the finish. While this particular one didn’t blow me away, it’s at least something that makes me think there’s hope for the fruit infused wheat beer and lighter beers out there. Well made.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 LilBeerDoctor (2816) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2011
Growler. So the beer is green, I guess in honor of St. Patrick’s day because I don’t think it’s normally this color. It’s a little scary actually and makes me think I’m about to drink a lime-flavored beverage. Aroma of sweet fruits, sweet malt, yeast, mint? (or maybe that’s my imagination). Flavor is also quite sweet, but more artificially sweet instead of fruity sweet. Overall, this is just not a very good beer. It is too sweet and wears on the palate quickly. Meh, I’m disappointed here.
