COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This whale of a brew begins with a huge grain bill, consisting of American two-row malted barley. Plenty of the finest American-grown hops are then introduced at every stage of the brewing process. Massive additions of hops in the boil kettle produce a smooth yet assertive finish.

After pouring this dark golden IPA into my merlot glass to observe its interesting features, I noted the strong aroma of a grapefruit type of hops and swirling unique malt characters I noted later in the taste. The first taste was a vocabulary lesson in hops and as I slowly tasted more of it, the spicy taste seemed to change its personality to illicit more fruity esters which I would usually attribute to heavier double IPA names. Like a circus bear riding a small bicycle, the Massive IPA packed a large taste that did various tricks as its slowly warmed up in my glass. I was impressed with its volume and weight as I thought it paired well with sharp cheddar cheese and would make a good beer to tailgate with in the company of good friends.

12oz bottle from Spirits Lakewood. Poured a hazed light orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet, honey topped bread, bread crusts, dough, orange zest, nut shells. Flavor is grainy, medium toast, dry nut shell, dry citrus rind. Medium body with large bubbly carbonation, sort of a tonic water feel. Meh....

Bottle from Caponeís. Pours turbid and bright orangy/straw colored with off-white head. Nose is resiny hops, orange marmaladey fruit, florals, honey. Tastes fruity, hoppy, with notes of orange, lemon, florals, black pepper. Smooth finish.

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle, thank you brother Bob! Pours a nice orangy, yellow color with a bit of white head. Smells of floral hops, tastes strong on the hops, but well done with the IPA.

Moderate citrus, fruit loop like hop aroma. Appearance is a light gold with small white head for an IPA. Flavor has a similar hop character in the flavor as in the aroma. A slight grassy flavor is noticeable. Bitterness is high. High alcohol flavors are present. Malt has notes of cracker. Mouthfeel is medium with a medium level of carbonation. Overall, it's a below average. Wouldn't buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden color with a whitish head. Trashy, hoppy, some earthy notes. Fairly dry. Not a great IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, floral hops, tropical fruits with little malt. Flavor of citrus, mango, banana, and grassy hops. Nice hop presence. An average IPA.

My first from this brewer at the Boathouse in Conshohocken. Pours a light amber with a thin head. Cites in the aroma with a bit of floral hops. The flavor has a bit of sweetness and then the hops come on. Nice dry finish.

Golden pour with great clarity and semi-creamy white head and plenty of lacing. Itís well balanced, but nothing stands out. Floral nose with orange in both aroma and flavor, a bit soapy.

Orange pour, moderate head and lacing. Grapefruit upfront, sweet with the malts and then combines with the tropical fruit nature of the hops. Damn good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy orange. No head. Sweet floral citrus aroma. Medium bodied. Dominate citrus and pine hop flavors and well balanced. Hops taste a bit stale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
