COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like its namesake, this beer is something you could get tangled up in. Brewed year-round and especially popular during the colder months, this beer combines unique ingredients including roasted chocolate malt, flaked oats, cinnamon, licorice root and Long Island apples . . culminating in a savory full-bodied malty goodness, and finishing with a hardy bite.

4oz pour at the brewery an opaque black with some frothy, beige head. Nose has plenty of roasted malt, burnt toast, coffee beans, some dark chocolate, molasses, a little bit of raisin, a little bit of plum, some orange, some mild spice. Flavor has plenty of sticky malt, orange peel, a bit of black pepper, toasted bread, brown sugar, caramel, a bit of caramelized apple, some black currant too. Full bodied with just a hint of alcohol. Very nice beer.

I really like this beer, I don’t get much of the apples they use but damn this beer is tasty. It’s like a black metal band is playing non stop in your mouth. Perfection

Pouring at TAP NY. Pours a big dark black with a thin tan head. Big plum and prune, loads of roast and chocolate pudding. Roast and chocolate brownies. Lots of roast, chewy brownies. Soft and sweet, pudding throughout. Really smooth, finishing up with more roast and chocolate. Another great one from Great South Bay.
