Made from the state tree of Colorado, the Blue Spruce. Hand picked, tender, new-growth spruce tips give this dark but refreshing ale Pepsi-like flavors.

On tap at brewer. I was lucky enough to taste this seasonal small batch, this will be a beer that year-to-year will be highly dependent on the strength of the source tips. Poured a clear black w/ a small fizzy diminishing tan head and good lacing. Aroma is spruce, lightly toasted malts, and earthy tones. Flavor is dominated by spruce tips, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body with lively carbonation.
