Commercial Description:
Unfiltered amber ale brewed with Minnesota wild flower honey. We also used locally malted two row barley, and German Carahell malt for red color, fire, and brimstone. This is an easy quaffing Winter Carnival celebration ale.

growler: Semi tarnished dark pale gold color with a strongly based capping of white foam that sits briefly before drawing an always present skim. Thickly pasted lacing is strung about in tattered sheeting. Sweet, slightly musty, flowery, and bready aroma with a very light twist of pretzeled salt and tender grassy spicing. Taste is firm, lasting, crisply rounded, and quite nice. Reminds me a bit of the House Ale that they have there but perhaps a step up in malt base and a different usage of malt that’s somewhat simular. Flavors are slightly sweet, a bit of musty honey, milding base of said sweetness over a tender breadyness with a hint of biscuit, creamy egg whites, and a fluff of ghostly grasses and flowers. Solid body for what gathers in on taste. Mediumishness with a forward quick crispness backed by a wonderful rounded tone of tender maltyness and semi bready sweetness. Reminscent of a very solid Pilsner that has a a brief touch of drying bread crust, grass, and yeast in the finishing elements. Drinkability is outer worldly with a confidence beyond that of normal sessioning. The growler emptied quickly just as any pint will if served at the bar. A very solid ale...an ale of some kind or what kind? Not sure...? Sorry, but what to have styled this one, I was unsure, as it has many style aspects it good sit within. However, while sipping this at the bar and getting the growler, someone mentioned it was supposed to be an Amber but the addition of the malt fot color didn’t really take? That for sure, is not what I gather this to be. Its a blended ale with flowers, honey, and malts.
