Mrthirstyneck (339), Minnesota, USA Jan 10, 2008 on cask at the pub. supposedly served at 52 degrees. but it was closer to 72 degrees. so i’ll have to retry. overall it was a bit sweet i htought which is common with DIPA’s. huge lacy head though and it was drinkalbe i’ll have to try a a proper temp someday footbalm (1217), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Feb 27, 2005 Tap at the MBG Winterfest. This was actually a very good brew, the first from this brewery that I have enjoyed.Cloudy amber with a lovely grapefruit nose, not that radical too perfumey aroma that some brewers come at you with in their Dbl IPA’s. JK (2509), uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jan 7, 2005 Updated: Sep 11, 2005Hops with a large fruit profile in the aroma. Very dark orange with a long lasting head that left a lace. Flavors of bitter hops and fruit with some floral tastes. Full bodied. Not as good as the Town Hall Masala Mama, but a very good ipa. Nuffield (2555), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Dec 28, 2004 Hazy, light head (loose and diffuse), amber body. Good to the nose, with pine first and foremost and some grapefruit and perfume notes less obvious. More orange-like than the Anchorhead, which was available at the same time. Solid finish, not a massive bitter punch. Very well done. (tap at brewpub) jazz88 (2209), San Francisco, California, USA Dec 25, 2004 Tap @ brewpub. Cloudy orange color. Not has well hopped as I would have anticipated for an imperial IPA. Slightly floral with a bitter but sweet finish. A lot of character, although not necessarily a powerful IPA.
