On cask drawn during Autumn Brew Review 2009 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a hazy golden amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head. Aroma of mostly grapefruit and some multi-grain malt. Taste is medium bodied, smooth, with flavors of grapefruit, a touch of tangerine, some light lemon zest and dry malt. Finish is semi-sweet with a lingering fruity and grapefruit aftertaste.

Light red in color. Just a little pine in the aroma, which is otherwise on the light side. Bitter hop flavor with a light floral character and some lemongrass, which this brewpub is known to use on occasion.

I ran into the brew pub while waiting for the 54 bus and ordered a pint of this. It was very visually appealing, with a wonderful hop aroma. The flavor was really good, rye, malt foundation, and very fresh hops - perfect body too. Damn good. This is my new "wait for the 54 bus" hangout.

RB Bachelor Pub Crawl. First beer of the night and cheers to my buds for getting me out on the town for a night good drinking. Copper color with a thin head. Strong pine hop aroma. Bone dry malt, more pine. A lot of resin-like flavors. Didn’t seem like it was screaming hop bitterness, but then again, it is only supposed to be an IPA, not IIPA. Not too bad at all.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Mrthirstyneck (341) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 16, 2008
This is a Great beer. Tons of hops, mostly upfront. Nice color and creamy white head. The rye doesn’t come through much till the end and once it warms a bit. But t the finish the rye shines in a spicy dryness thats really good for your palate. GEAT beer. grabbed a growler.

A very hoppy aroma with a nice rye undertone. The rye stood out in the malty body - before the hops took over. A very nice beer. On tap at the brewery.

Holy stinking hops! Hoppy and bitter is right. The Rye aspect of this IPA really stands out and gives it a rich, bready goodness, that I have only found in Reds Rye before. The hops almost drown out the rye, but it comes threw when it warms a bit. By FAR the best GW brew I have ever had. You best like a hell of a hop/rye burn to drink this one. Glad to have a growler of this!

Big citrus--reflecting a ton of hops (too many for my taste). Big hop bitterness. Lasting astringency. I’m not a huge hop fan, so these qualities were far too much for my preferences. Light amber color. What’s rye about it? The dryness? (on tap at brewpub, St. Paul)
