What a lovely beer, though I wasn’t sure at first. The nose is great, like a bowl of dehydrated strawberries or a strawberry herbal tea. The initial sense when it hit the front of my tongue was that it was going to be quite bitter, almost metallic. But it ended up well rounded and not overly fruity. Slightly hazy, rich yellow color, with a big white, clinging head and an interesting cascade effect. The cask effects are better contributors to this beer than I thought they would be--a blonde usually being a fizzy, refreshing beer. It had a wonderful sensibility that meant it would fit in well with any line-up from an English brewer. (Hand-pull cask at brewery)
