3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Backlog: On draught during the Winterfest 2009 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear golden pale colored brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, some banana esters, citrus zest, a touch of crystal malt and some dry herbs. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of both Belgian yeast, citrus and grassy hops, some crystal malt, golden grain malt and a touch of green vegetable. Finish has a split personality of Belgian malt character meets with Mt Hood hops. It’s different.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
TAP: at Great Waters, 2/20/09. Light yellow/gold pour, some spice on the nose. Taste is watery, with a strange finish that I can’t describe very well. Pretty weak attempt at a Belgian-style beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at brewpub. Light amber color. Lightly hopped, with a bit of spice/banana aspect going on. Sort of like an APA/ Hefe. Drinkable, but kind of confusing to the pallate. Not bad.
