COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three different types of wheat malt were used to brew this traditional classic Belgian style wit beer. Refreshing coriander spiciness is topped off by pleasant orange aroma and flavor. The deep orange color comes from red winter wheat. Spring white and unmalted wheats were also used in this unfiltered offering.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap at Great Waters. Murky yellow pour with a minimal white head. Nose is mild sour citrus. Palate is thin and watery. Taste is tart and sour lemon and orange. No yeast or spice to speak of. Not good at all.

On tap @ Great Waters. Fairly hazy light yellow/white appearance with a pearl white head. Quite orangey, slightly sour, coriander, light wheat nose. Pretty sour orange, spicy wheat ale flavor. A messy, overdone, crappy witbier.

Pours very light cloudy staw yellow. Aroma is very light with some wheat flavor but no Belgian yeast smell. Taste is a buttery very tart lemon wheat flavor. Not sure if it was infected or not bit it was tough to finish. A lot heavier mouthfeel then I was expecting for a wit.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/23/07: Pours a cloudy pale golden with a wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of pale lightly biscuity Belgian malt with a nice lemon citrus and clove character. Body starts fairly full and lightly biscuity and wheaty sweet balanced with complex lemon and coriander toward a crisp, smooth finish. A very nice witbier.

Draft @ Brewpub: Hazy yellow, nice head and lacing. Nose of explosive coriander and funky wheat, grass and fruit. The flavor is too sour with wheat and orange peel. Meh.

Sample from tap at the brewpub. Pours unfiltered yellow with a white head. Aroma is spiced, wheat and a bit of bubblegum. Flavour is strong bubblegum flavour, not that wheaty, but has a soft mouthfeel. Soft and light sweet finish. Too much bubblegum for my taste.

Pours a lightly hazy, deep peach color, though much lighter and brighter when held up to the light. Half an inch of nearly white, bubbly foam only lasts a short while, changing to a thin film and a ring for the duration. Decent spotty lacing. A little bready, a very little bit spicy in the aroma. On the tart and dry side, though not hoppy at all. Bready malt, biscuit malt, and tart wheat flavors up front with very tasty and bitter orange peel - especially in the finish. A hint of spice in the end. Very thirst quenching. Almost medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter orange peel aftertaste.

Light Hazy Gold Coloring with Big White Creamy Head. No Aroma. Clean Mouthfeel. A Bit Watery at First. Then Sudden Rush of Intense Wheat Flavor...Dry Wheat. ... Light Wheat Aftertaste.
