Marsiblursi (2993) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 21, 2008
(Bottle) Pours clear, reddish brown to deep mahogany with a small sand colored head. The aroma is malty up front with a deep toasted, light caramelly and white bready sting. In addition, a mild roasted chocolate tone is also notable. Hints of brown sugar, vanilla, oven baked cinnamon apples, ripe tangerines, floral hops and dark, dried fruits/raisins. The flavour is solid malty with notes of toast, light caramel, bread and a light roastiness. Some noble, floral hops lurking in the background. Tiny acidic. Maybe a touch of tangerines in the flavour as well. The mouthfeel is round, juicy and smooth with soft and creamy carbonation. Medium bodied. The finish is of bready malt and a clean, fruity/vegetable-ish touch. Near medium bodied.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2007 Sample from bottle. Julölsprovning at Haket, Göteborg. Red/brown color. Aroma of sweet lightly roasted malt, brown sugar, raisins and some spiciness. The taste is mostly malty and sweet, lightly roasted and a bit perfume like. A bit above average compared too other similar swedish dark christmas lagers.

TBone (12474) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2006
Bottled (BB 03/2007)
Ruby red color, small steady off-white head. Lifht nose: hops, toasted malts. Palate is quite weak, dry roasted malty flavor. Overall dry, even metallic. Too watery to be actually good one.

oh6gdx (20253) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2006
Bottled (thanks gnoff!). Dark amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet malts along with fruity hints. Flavour is samekind of bitterish sour as many of their other beers. Has some sugar, caramel and malts in it too. Unbalanced and a bit too "crispy" carbonation.
