Dark golden color. Thin aroma but lovely warm flavor, balanced, with caramel, bread, and woody vinegar. Nothing off. Oily, smooth. (cask, Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford, June 2012)

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 23/06/2012. Deep copper with slight white head. Sweet, berry fruit and orange aroma with plenty of caramel. Flavour was thick and syrupy with some more fruit and moderately bitter finish showing prominent alcohol. A struggle to finish.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Copper with white head. This was a smooth fruity beer, full sweetish malts with a toasted character, decent palate, some toffee notes later on. Good.
