COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our second collaboration with Brasserie St-Feuillien, Friendship Brew, is a Black Saison that blends European and American hops, Belgian yeast and a cache of secret spices. The aroma and flavors are enticing, with delicate fruitiness, subtle spice and rounded roast malt characteristics. Bottle conditioning provides lively carbonation and rich beer foam for a luscious body and a lean, dry finish.

Somehow an easy drinker while also being sort of farmhouse, only 5.3% abv and dark! Foam is dark and think. Finish is there but not overly complex. Good. Would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 Bottle [12oz]. As ’Green Flash Friendship Brew’. Pours a very dark brown with a large lasting fluffy tan head. Lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and spices first, and its good, along with Belgian yeast, perfumy notes, dark fruit and more. Flavour of spices and Belgian yeast, a bit funky, along with a good amount of hops, malt, cocoa, some herbs and coffee. Medium bodied. This shit rocks, I can’t even imagine why some of these ratings are so low. I love it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle. Very dark brown, almost black. Creamy light beige head that clings to the glass. Spicy herbal aroma with nutty roasted malts. Velvety texture. Complex spicy flavours. Cardamon, cinnamon and cloves. Belgian yeast. I like the texture, but the spices get a little deafening after a while.

330ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. A black Saison now that’s different. Big fluffy tan head and black body, looks like a porter. There is a lot of fruit in the aroma along with some spice. Thin in the mouth with a moderate bitterness.
