On tap at the CBC beer pavilion 2008. Pours a clear golden hue with a big dose of earthy hops and pine in the nose. The flavor was hops, hops and more hops, lots of resiny/piney tartness with a long lasting biting finish, wow this one’s a powerhouse!

12 oz bottle from CBC courtesy of the guys at Port/Lost abbey: Pour is a clear golden color with a small bright white head. Aroma is grassy, piney and metallic. Flavor starts light caramel followed by a sour grassy bitterness and a dry, sharp orange rind finish. Medium body is tangy with moderate carbonation.

12oz bottle, courtesy of Tonsk. Medium orange color with a small white head. Candied pineapple, exotic citrus, piney metallic hop aromatics. Big crush of resinous piney and citric hops. Tinges of bready sweet malt underneath a persistent fruity and floral hop character. Lasting bitter mouthcoat in the finish, with lingering pine. Mouthfeel is medium light, rather dry.

Draught Foxy-amber beer with a huge yellow head. USA C-hops, lemon and passion fruit. Bit metallic in the taste, but C-hops balanced by some caramelly malts; again quite fruity. Medium bodied, bit (hop?)oily, ends burning. Good IPA, ripened, which seems a problem in this brewery (see Saison,...).

On cask and tap at Hamilton’s, shared with WeeHeavySD. Cask pour is a cloudy, yellow amber with a thin, white, foamy head. Strong sweet and tart aroma of citrus hops. Taste has a ton of lemon, in addition to the hops. Intense lingering lemony bitterness. On tap was a bit different and not quite as good, but still quite nice. It poured a clear amber, with no real head. The taste had a lot more sharp hops presence and a lot less of the lemon. Overall, excellent IPA.

Shared by Bill Batten of Alesmith. Pours with a clear, amber-orange body topped by a thin to medium thick ehad with some lacing. It’s bitter, piney and hoppy with a very slight malt note. The finish is full of bitter hop notes. Medium bodied and warming with a touch of dryness.

On-tap at the GF Brewery. Pours cloudy orange color with a fluffy white head. Actually smelled a bit subdued to me, does smell of earthy hops. Taste is big. Lots of astringent, bitter hop flavors. Somewhat earthy with big ripe citrus flavors. Hop bomb for sure. Lasting bitterness on the aftertaste. Full body with good carbonation.
