4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 iowaherkeye (2636) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - NOV 11, 2012Tap at Hamilton’s. Clear medium amber with a small off-white head, fair retention. Aroma of orangey lightly dank hops, tinge of pine, and light dry biscuit malt. Flavor follows suit, pretty much zero sweetness, more orange with light backing pine. Bitterness peaked at a 7, dry. Light prickly carbonation with a light body. Very tasty. I think I had the first batch that Guy brought to joet’s tasting after CBC in SF. 8.5 aroma and flavor.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chinchill (586) - South Carolina, USA - MAR 27, 2013
2013 reincarnation of Green Flash Surfs Up IPA served on tap at the Secret Stash Bash.
Poured clear, light amber in color, and with a medium and fairly durable head.
Had an attractive and complex hoppy aroma. Medium/high bitterness (IBU = 75) in this hoppy, West Coast style IPA that has limited amount of sweet malts. The hop mix included piney, herbal, citrus and grassy/weedy elements.
Medium body with slightly high carbonation.
O: a rather aggressive hop-lovers IPA.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 czarinakat (3) - Florida, USA - MAR 22, 2013 does not count
I wasn’t able to determine much aroma from this, a small citrussy note and some grassyness.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 19, 2013
On tap at the brewery, served in a tasting glass. Pours clear straw-amber with small white head that fades quickly and leaves a tiny amount of lace. On the nose, there are medium floral, fruity, piney hops with subtle caramel malts. The finish is moderate in length with floral hops and subtle spice. On the palate it is medium in body with a smooth milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent floral IPA but it feels like it is missing something. 2013-03-17
