22 oz bottle pours an orange color with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, grapefruit, more of an IPA than a pale ale. Medium bodied with a nice bitter finish.

Location: Draft at Hay Merchant, 4/22/14

Aroma: The aroms is grassy, with some citrus, and pale malts
Appearance: It pours a clear gold-orange color, with an off-white head, and heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is similar to the nose component-wise, with a clean and bitter finish
Palate: This one has a creamy feel, an average carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty nice pale ale. It wasn’t an amazing beer, but it was a nice west coast hop feel to it. Solid stuff.

Bomber into a nonic pint. Pours deep gold with a thick pillow of white head. Huge aroma of grass, juicy tropical fruits, lemon zest. Taste is a bit thin, but big on the bitterness, juicy fruits, citrus. Sweet, sticky finish.

Bomber. Really tasty APA. Pours a clear amber with a sold white head and lots of life in the glass. Nice citrus and pine flavors. Well balanced with a touch of malt sweetness. Excellent pale ale.

On tap at Dutch’s. Hazy orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Medium body. Good bigger piney hop in the aroma. Kind of grassy. Bready, kind of biscuity lightly toasty malt, some light caramel. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Little sweet. Light spicy character to it. Solid, easy drinking, satisfyingly hoppy pale ale.

When I saw this on tap I thought I had found something special (on the tap list it called out as "Green Flash 30th anniversary ale) Unfortunately, my high expectations were met with a completely average, yet solid and drinkable beer. Problem is that I struggle to recall this decent yet all too forgettable beer. I guess it is my bad for thinking that Green Flash has been in biz for 30 years.

Golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some pine, orange, lemons, tangerines. Flavor is somewhat bitter but not too much. There is a good variety of citrus in there. Overall an excellent session ale.
