30th Street Pale Ale is a strong pale ale that is well dry-hopped making it taste like an IPA by many hop head’s standards. The beer was brewed to recognize the synergy behind the craft beer culture on 30th Street in San Diego and was released for the Green Flash 6th Anniversary Celebration.

On tap at the brewery. Great appearance, clear copper in color with a lacy white head.  The aroma is typical of a good San Diego pale ale, dank and citrusy with some resins.  The flavor is great too, with just a slight sweet malt base and a big hop punch with grapefruit, orange rind, pineapple, and resins.  Sticky on the mouthfeel with medium body and average carbonation.  A very good pale ale overall.

Draft. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate earthy hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

Cask at The Linkery SD. Orange, pine, grassy, biscuit hops aroma. Starts slighty sweet and oily but very quickly becomes dry and tightly bitter. It finishes with a long paprika and pepper spiciness. For such a light body this is pretty unique all around. Very enjoyable.

(On draught at beachwood bbq Long Beach). Pours clear copper with off-white head. Little carbonation. Aroma has bright citrus, light caramel and some bread. Taste is sweet with some sharp bitterness. Thinner bodied with oily texture. Bitter finish. Nice, easy drinking beer with lots of flavor.

Tap @ Parkway. Hazy orange-gold with a short white head leaving a coarse, medium lace. Fresh hop, pine, and toast nose. Medium body and carbonation. Toast, ganja, singed caramel, pine. Finish is long, bitter and astringent. A bit darker-tasting than I like my pales, but very good.

On tap @ Stone. Pours a deep amber-red, clear with a nice white finger head which is very beautiful froth...lace is stringy and runs with only a little bit of stick. Aroma distinctly piney/spruce. Taste is true to nose, hop-forward, light-medium body, an excellent SD County Pale Ale. Finish is a tad astringent, but in a good way...saps the moisture in your mouth a tad, and you pucker at the bitter goodness. Very impressed with Green Flash these days...they know how to get mileage from their hops!

Lovely golden pale ale. Stronger & heftier than I would like for the style. More of an IPA than a Pale Ale, though maybe not bitter enough for a full-on west coast IPA. Nice Pale Ale, I could just have handled less (in terms of alcohol & fullness)

Tap. Grassy, grapefruit hops. Earthy. Dry. Hop forward, nice balance. Tasty, hooppy, decent balance, if a bit astringent. Would drink again.

On tap at The Monk. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is big on citrus. Get lots of lemon, apricot and grapefruit. Quite a good blend. Flavour presents lots of citrus and sweet fruits as well as a bitter hop finish. Taste more like an IPA. Good pale though

On tap @ 1702 - Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is floral and herbal hops. Flavor is a little more hop forward, but has a nice toasted malt backbone. Medium body. A good beer.
