On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Darkish orange pour with a soapy head. Aroma blended tea notes along with citrus and resin. Medium mouthfeel, somewhat fluffy. Flavors a bit too muted to sustain what you anticipate from the nose, but it was solid.

Poured at Bangers andLace. Pours copper/amber with a medium sized white head, laces the glass. Smells of caramel malts, slightly metallic with a good dose of citrus, grassy hop character. Tastes somewhat balanced with caramel malts up front but quick hitting bitter and astringent hop character as well.

Pint on tap at Suttree’s High Gravity Tavern. This is a serious pale ale. Tons of grassy and citrusy hops adorn the aroma. Smells like an IPA. Even the heaviness of the palate makes me think IPA, but I’d say it’s lighter than Alpha King or Dale’s. The flavor is full of tasty hops with a grapefruity profile. The malt gives a little balance rounding this out to taste like a classic American ale. This is one easy drinking beer.

draft. Golden bronze color. Foam fades quick. Hops present nut nowhere near a west coast standard. Probably better then most IPA regardless
