Hop-forward and San Diego inspired, this is our brewers’ homage to their local craft beer corridor. Uniquely floral and fruity notes from Warrior, Cascade and El Dorado hops mingle with a hint of crystal malt to build flavors of melon and a lingering grassy bitterness. Well-bittered and dry-hopped, 30th Street is a Pale Ale bold enough to suit the palates of hop heads in the land of sunshine and IPA.

Pours golden with minimal head. Aroma a huge orange hit. Flavor follows with that single note somewhat balanced with hops/bitter. Finish mellow with lingering fruit. Overall i am not a fan of overly fruity brews so I’m off this one.

Floral notes as advertised both in the aroma and flavors. Balanced out by a nice hoppy bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

More of an IPA than an APA, but who’s complaining? As the label guarantees, this beer has a hop-forward approach. The floral & citrus profile has enough malt to round out the flavor and feel on the palate. The brewery is located in San Diego Co where hops are big, bold, and beautiful. Fun fact: ’Green Flash’ refers to an optical phenomenon at sunset. When the atmospheric conditions are right, the setting sun produces a flash of light in the visible green spectrum when the sun dips below the horizon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_flash

Sampled from tap at ’Beertemple’ at 6.5% abv. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, grainy and moderately fruity aroma of grains, honey, straw and citrus. Sweetish, fruity and quite grainy taste of straw, grains, citrus and honey, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy and quite grainy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, not so good after the beers we’ve had already.

6%ABV. American Pale Ale. Poured out Amber. 8ºSRM. Nose has ripe citrus and pineapple aromas. Some spicy aromas suggesting cilantro and sweet scallions. Sweet malt aroma. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has graham cracker toast, nice malted milkshake mid-palate with some milk and cream fullness. Hops are spicy with cilantro, chilies and coriander, and fennel and wild scallions. Finish is brief-medium and is thickly bitter. Goes on Favorites List !

Small bottle from Bottle Jockey in Burnaby. A nice orange amber colored beer with moderate almost white head. The nose is indistinct, most likely due to the fact that I neglected the nose until emptying the glass. Har! A lovely pale ale with a hopiness that would match some IPAs. Nicely balanced with malt in the background. Slightly bitter aftertaste. 3.9

$1.85 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours golden with an inch of beige head. Smells like sweetened rose/peace iced tea. Taste is pine, rose hips, citrus peel, orange. Good amount of flavor!
