Growler, 9C. Clear pale amber with a large white head that’s never less than a coat. Aroma of kumquat, grapefruit, peach, passionfruit, gooseberries (maybe there are Kiwi hops in this), a little pine. Lightish body, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Some peach sweetness, no caramel, dry finish with firm bitterness. Pepper joins citrus and the pine is more prominent at the end. Straight ahead stuff and very well put together.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Small bottle from Bottle Jockey in Burnaby. A nice orange amber colored beer with moderate almost white head. The nose is indistinct, most likely due to the fact that I neglected the nose until emptying the glass. Har! A lovely pale ale with a hopiness that would match some IPAs. Nicely balanced with malt in the background. Slightly bitter aftertaste. 3.9

$1.85 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours golden with an inch of beige head. Smells like sweetened rose/peace iced tea. Taste is pine, rose hips, citrus peel, orange. Good amount of flavor!

Amber colored beer with a white head. Aromas of pine needles. Tastes of pine hops, some herbal notes, caramel, and biscuit. I did not notice any fruit flavors here, this was all hops for the most part. Bitter pine resin finish. Refreshing and has a decent malt balance to it.

Bottle poured bright amber with a thick off-white head and nice lacing. Aromas of pine, citrus, caramel malt, and resin. Flavor is medium bitter that lingers.

Draft at the Brigantine La Mesa. Darker amber. Lots of hope flavor and aroma. Not to bad for what it is.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: clear golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: hoppy and grassy with caramel and toffee notes. Honey finish. Taste: medium body with caramel malt and honey attack balanced hoppy and floral notes. Good attenuation and easy drinkable. Aftertaste: wet bitterness, caramel and toffee.

Bottle pours a rather hazy orange amber with a fine modest head. Rather malty and heavy for a pale. Nice woody and pithy hop character. Nice flavors, a bit grassy/woody.

Nice hoppy edition for a pale ale. Floral aromas. Citrusy taste. Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
