Hop-forward and San Diego inspired, this is our brewers’ homage to their local craft beer corridor. Uniquely floral and fruity notes from Warrior, Cascade and El Dorado hops mingle with a hint of crystal malt to build flavors of melon and a lingering grassy bitterness. Well-bittered and dry-hopped, 30th Street is a Pale Ale bold enough to suit the palates of hop heads in the land of sunshine and IPA.

Growler, 9C. Clear pale amber with a large white head that’s never less than a coat. Aroma of kumquat, grapefruit, peach, passionfruit, gooseberries (maybe there are Kiwi hops in this), a little pine. Lightish body, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Some peach sweetness, no caramel, dry finish with firm bitterness. Pepper joins citrus and the pine is more prominent at the end. Straight ahead stuff and very well put together.

Draft 0.15l at Beer Temple Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 17.07.2016. Last farewell tasting for cika Jan. Taste with Zlotta and Potjebier. Pour it hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma aggressive candy sugar, tangerine. Taste orange, tangerine, herbalish, little bit harsh zesty feel, not so compact for my opinion, medium body, slick feel, lively, abrupt finish.

Visual: Pours barely translucent orange with a smallish head, a superfine layer of micro retention, suspended sediment, clustered steady streams alongside tight singulars.

Nose: citrusy floral hops, malty backbone. (lvl-6)-pungency

Attack: creamy-fine entry, very crisp bite

Mid-palate: more fluffy creaminess, very bright tangerine-metallic hop oils, (lvl-3-sweetness), toffee toasty barley malt

Finish: LONG length dry soft bitter resiny hops, dry grassy finish.

Summary: Supremely clean hop oils and an amazing creaminess to go along with it. A bright showcase of the hops - thumbs up for the consistent quality of Green Flash brews.

Bottle at home, a couple of months past expiry date. Aroma is fruity hops, citrus, orange, biscuity malt, tangerine, hint of pine resin. Flavour is a bit sweetish and medium bitter. Body is medium. Nice, lots of orange and tangerine, would love to try this really fresh one day.

More of an IPA than an APA, but who’s complaining? As the label guarantees, this beer has a hop-forward approach. The floral & citrus profile has enough malt to round out the flavor and feel on the palate. The brewery is located in San Diego Co where hops are big, bold, and beautiful. Fun fact: ’Green Flash’ refers to an optical phenomenon at sunset. When the atmospheric conditions are right, the setting sun produces a flash of light in the visible green spectrum when the sun dips below the horizon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_flash
