JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 22, 2008 Draught Huge, mango-yellow, dense head over slightly hazy pale amber beer. Fresh C-hops, orange rind, orange cake. Taste differs seriously with a very cake, pastry-like taste, seriously diminishing the hops, in a balancing way. Some oxydation apparent. Well-bodied, viscous and nearly pappy, bit sticky. Good one, but it ought not to get oxydized so fast. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 16, 2008 on tap-pours a patchy off white head and slightly hazy amber color. Aroma is bitter hops-pine/citrus/some sweet (simcoe, cascade?). taste is dry bitter hops-pine/citrus/some sweet (simcoe, cascade?), floral, faint medium malt. Big. Sipping. goldtwins (3734), Nesconset, New York, USA Dec 10, 2007 Updated: Feb 12, 2008Tap @ O’Briens. Poured a golden orange color with an off-white head. Nice hop forward aroma. Citrus and grapefruit almost cover the caramel malt. More citrus and grapefruit in the flavor. The bitterness on the finish was strong but balanced. Medium body and semi-dry.
Tap @ Bistro’s 8th Annual IIPA Fest. The beer poured a slightly hazed amber color with an off-white head. Floral and pine hop notes make up most of the aroma. Some malt tries to poke through. The flavor was hop forward with some bready malt. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Nice beer.
