pours a reddish amber with a one finger off white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of fruity Belgian yeast, citrus, rye malts, and some caramel. Taste is similar but also has some mild funk and more rye notes then the aroma. Has a medium-full body with a super creamy mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium finish. overall, a tasty and interesting take on a Belgian Ale.

A hazed amber pour with an off-white head. Very floral hop profile, lots of rye, and toasted bread. A bit of grass, notes of pine, and a lot of yeast. The flavor is very heavy on the toasted notes. Rye, mild sweetness of bread, and floral hops. Lightly grassy, some bitterness on the finish, and overall quite dry.

I had this on tap at Flying Saucer with several samples. I drank this one towards the end after some IPAs so take that into consideration. Poured a golden color with a sweet aroma: floral, citrus, fruitiness. Certainly a fruity taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aromas of citrus fruit, floral fragrance, peach, fruity esters, cherries, and light caramel. Clear ruby, off-white head, light retention. Fruity, bitter, and peppery. Full bodied, with moderate carbonation, and a long spicy and bitter finish.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a hazy rust color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of floral notes, caramel, rye, and banana. The taste is strong spicy rye, banana, pale malts and a mild vegetal note. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Pretty interesting.

Well, they either did this one again, or it has been held on to for a few years and then put out again, since I just picked up a growler from Whole Foods. Pours a medium amber, a bit reddish, slight head. Aroma is peppery. Flavor is an interesting mix of peppery notes, with the pepper from the rye mingling with a peppery, earthy hop bitterness, and then finishing with strong black pepper phenols from the Belgian yeast. Lasting, aspirin like bitterness. Maybe they were hoping the phenols would fall back with some aging. Instead, apparently the fruit and citric notes fell out, but everything else stayed strong. Too bad, an interesting concept worthy of some experimentation.

Is this really retired? ’Cause I had it on tap last night. It was tasty. Smells like tobacco, coffee, rye, and yeast. Flavor is tobacco, rye toast, and some yeast. Off beat, but tasty.
