Green Flash 7th Anniversary Belgian Red Rye Ale Hereís an adventurous brew for the adventurous craft beer drinker. Our 7th Anniversary brew brings you further American brewing innovation by using rye malt, German specialty malts, fresh American hops and Belgian yeast. This very unique beer is scrumptious with fruity yeast and spicy qualities from the rye and hops. Floral, spicy and citrusy hops lead you to a finish that is nice and clean considering how much flavor is packed into each glass. 5.7% ABV, 35 IBU

A damn fine beer, I would drink it until my liver gave way. Nothing offensive at all, just beer bliss. Would get again fo sho. the rye was hard to pick out, but it was still a really tasty beer.

Tap at Rattle N Hum. Ruddy amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is really herbal and spicy with loads of rye malt character. A bit of soft chewy, grassy character over a bright lemony/citrusy nose. Quite bready with a lot of soft fruit and spice balancing it out. Itís pretty understated compared to some of their other anniversary beers, but itís very nice.

Draught at Blind Tiger. Dark amber red with very lacy egg white head. Aroma is floral sweet and not much else, notes of faint Belgian spice/yeast. Taste is awesome - floral hoppiness mixes beautifully with fainter Belgian yeast/spice. More hops than spice, very enjoyable.

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Good. Pours a nice, red hue with a soft white head. Mild and inviting aroma of sweet malt. The flavor is light and sweet up front. Very dry and modestly hoppy, somewhat floral. Finish is dryer still.

Draft at Brouwerís, sometime late January í10. Brownish red pour with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is a little crackery rye and sweet maltiness. Not a lot of yeast character for a Belgian, but it does have a nice rye malt presence on the flavor along with sweet caramel. Finishes fairly bitter with herbal, earthy hops, and is a bit too harsh on the alcohol bite for my tastes. Overall, this is a nice rye beer, but itís not very Belgian tasting.
