3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 StefanSD (1795) - Lakeside, California, USA - JUN 23, 2011
On tap at the new Mira Mesa plant. Poured a yellow-amber color with a pronounced off-white head. The aroma was relatively indistinct as this was served way too cold, but I did get a trace of spicy citrus. The flavor was hops forward in a way that screamed hoppy APA to me, the Cascade really showed thru and was backed up by sweet biscuit malts. The palate is light but effective with lively carbonation. Finishes short and moderately biter. Overall: Very tasty, I’ll be looking for this again.

This will not blow you away with brand new flavors but this is a nice solid beer with a good balance to it. Pours a reddish brown with a nice amount of head to it, the aroma is muted but the taste packs a punch but is still sessionable.

Draft at Stone. Reddish pour, off-white head. Malt, nice hop profile, bread, light citrus and fruit. Nothing out of the ordinary, but well made. Fits well with Green Flash’s not experimental, but quality beers.
