COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our American-style Barleywine undergoes a three hour boil to intesify the caramel malts and the enormous Pacific Northwest hop charge. The result is a rich, estery brew with toffee notes and citrus hop flavors layered throughout. Enjoy this brew fresh today or lay it down for aging to see how the flavors of each vintage evolve.

Old bottle - not much hop presence and a big alcohol kick. Nice but I kind of expected something more - might be the us to uk thing but I was dissapointed

Bottle from beernovice39. 2011 vintage. Pours cloudy dark caramel color with tan head. Caramel and toffee aroma with some citrus and a hint of alcohol. Sweet caramel and raisin flavors with some citrus. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Mark.

Pours auburn copper Witt off white head. Smell is grainy slight alc and a little hop kick. The taste is buttery smooth crisp and generously hopped with orange and herbal hops. Even a little fruit in the mix. This was even better than I thought. Finishes dry but with a full grainy palate as well and a clean caramelized sugary feel.

this beer has evolved in a short time since i first had it. first try it was definitely a little young and seemed a bit thin. as it has aged it seems to gain tropical fruit like complexity but is slightly boozy and seems to be appropiately heavier....i love it.

22 oz bottle. Pours an opaque dark honey with reddish hues. Aroma of caramel, pineapple, honey, dried cherries, maple syrup, pine. Flavor is caramel, citrus, pineapple, fig, pine. Has a slight buttery/syrup mouthfeel. Finish is dry. Slightly more hoppy than most barley wines, but I find it very welcome.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a nice pine hop and thick earthy malts. Flavor is a very heavy caramel malt with some dry dark fruit and piney hop. Finish leaves some char on the tounge along with a warming alcohol. A decent American hoppy barleywine.

On bottle. Strong taste with a flat head. Malt and caramel taste is very noticeable. Resin and pine smell. Excellent work.
