Commercial Description:
Our American-style Barleywine undergoes a three hour boil to intesify the caramel malts and the enormous Pacific Northwest hop charge. The result is a rich, estery brew with toffee notes and citrus hop flavors layered throughout. Enjoy this brew fresh today or lay it down for aging to see how the flavors of each vintage evolve.

Bottle. Orangeish pour with a small brown color head. Very hoppy smell to it but was quite balanced with malt. Taste was the same nice and balanced with some malt sweetness through out. Pretty good.

Daniel claims his glass of this "disappeared too quick" but that would probably have something to do with him knocking it over on my couch. Motherfucker. 2008 bottle - orange to reddish color with a brown head. It has a nice caramel and hoppy smell to it, with a little bit of spices mixed in. Pretty nice. Taste is hoppy and sweet, somewhat difficult to drink - as it should be - alcohol is not noted until the glass nears the end and warms up some. Pretty good stuff, we will see how it turns out in a year or so.

Huge malty nose, caramel and candi sugar with spicy hops. Pours amber with a thin white head. Smooth malts, spicy hops, some caramel flavors, slightly toasty with hints of cinnamon and piney hops. Great barley wine!

This one wasnt as good as i had hoped for. Pours out a nice amber color with nearly no head. aroma was hoppy with notes of sweetness. flavor just seemed to lack. it seemed to disappear to quickly. I was left wanting more from this brew.

2 year aged bottle. Holding up quite well what I can imagine was the original beer, this slightly buttery on the tongue and well balanced brew is goodness. The hops have mellow to give way to a light apple fruit flavor, with the caramel remaining within the malt flavors. Highly recommend letting this one sit for a while!

This was like a mix between a barleywine and an IPA. A nice balance between the caramel malts and hops. Poured a nice amber color with a a small head. A very smooth aftertaste.

Bomber. Served in a snifter. Pretty- looking beer that is a hazy, dark mahogany with a light caramel colored head. The floral-citrus aroma was a bit weak for the style and somewhat artificial. The flavor was a bit lacking in the front for a barleywine but had a huge hop character. Finishes dry. Very close to a IIPA. It was okay.

Pours bright amber into a snifter. Off-white carbonated head quickly dissipates leaving spot lacing. Pine and resin aromas. Crisp yet full with well-balanced citrus. Blurs the line between barleywine and DIPA.
