COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Candela (Rye Barleywine): Collaboration: The collaborative efforts between Cigar City Brewing and Green Flash Brewing eventually went down a path with the idea that the resulting brew should not only be a very special brew but also one that will go nicely with a great American cigar…a green wrapper Candela.

Technical Description: So massive is this Rye Barleywine after a long and intensive boil that it envelops the 75 IBU of hops given it. The super rich qualities of this brew come from the best British floor-malted, pale barley available. Top quality specialty malts that add to its opulent body include British Crystal and German Rye. Spanish cedar lends wood aging with a depth of dark mahogany and a hint of Szechuan peppercorn spice that cuts the luxurious malt sweetness. With a beer this rich and decadent you may indeed, “Have A Cigar”. Cheers from, Chuck Silva & Wayne Wambles

Snifter pour at cigar city. Deep dark with full finger khaki head. Nose is cedar and roasted malts, cardboard? Flavor is rich, dark chocolate and hoppy, rich, slight booziness. Not my flavor, personally. Medium body with light lacing.
