COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Citra Session™ IPA is brewed with high-quality Marris Otter and Vienna malt but the flavor is dominated by the Citra hops introduced throughout the boil and again in the dry hop for maximum aroma intensity. Notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit make this hop-laden brew a perfectly potable summer session IPA.

Best by 01/13/16. Sounds pretty fresh for me for a session IPA starting with an ABV of 4.5. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy to semi-transparent transparent golden color with a slim finger’s worth of white foaminess that quickly dissipated barely leaving any lacing. The smell started off with a sharp citrus somewhat bitter with an underlying sweet to bitter pine to blend. The taste was moderately bitter with an underscore of bitter piney-ness. There’s a lingering bitter piney aftertaste leading into a slight dry sweet citrus finish. Different, but nice. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing a nice harsh bitterness to pound my tongue. Overall, I say this was a pretty good session IPA that I would have again.

Pours clear yellowish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy fruits, zesty citrus, pine and resin. Taste is grainy malty, hoppy and resinous with some grass and citrus. Finish is smooth, grainy and worty with some hoppiness. Okay, feels a bit raw though.

Buck eighty-five for a bottle at Wine Warehouse. Deep golden with a small white head. Smells of hops. Taste is watery hops, followed by a burnt nutty malt. Um. Not really a fan, but I wou;wouldn’t say it’s bad.

Scopey (9384) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2015
Bottle from GBBF 2015. It pours clear gold with a decent white head. The nose is fresh, bright grapefruit, clean lemon, bergamot and toasty grain. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, straw, grapefruit, lemony sherbet, toasty grain, light bread and some minerals with a refreshingly dry finish. Light - medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Decent session gear.
