Draught. Pours a near black color with a moderate tan head. Nose has a decent amount of the chilis in there with some roasting underneath. Taste definitely has the chilis coming through with a minimal amount of heat. I like it.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 HighWine (858) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2013
Tap flight at Flying Saucer San Antonio. Dark brown pour with a well laced beige head. Aroma is coffee and earthy chile. Taste has earthy green chile characteristics but is more coffee and vanilla prevalent with a touch -- but not much -- chile heat. Somewhat slippery in the mouth. Bartender steered me away from this. She was wrong.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 freeofthoughts (528) - Raytown, Missouri, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Tap pours brown black with lasting lacing tan foam. The aroma is almost all fresh cut green chili’s with a tiny bit of the roasted malt coming thru. The flavor is more along stout line with a slightly creamy roasted malt and a touch of sweetness that follows the punch of Serrano peppers. Seeded spiciness brings a robust flavor with a little chili heat, but does so in a very functional way with the rest of the beer. It really somehow works to the best of both worlds drinking easily and pairing very well with many dishes. Bold with a lasting tingle from the peppers and moderate carbonation, makes a 9% stout seem tame. I love peppers and stout’s so this was a nice enjoyable beer, about the best chili beer I’ve tried.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 DocJitsu (334) - California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours a dark brown, opaque. Fresh brewed coffee, olives, and fresh chilies on the nose. Mouthfeel is silky, creamy, and full. Chocolate up front. A lot smoke, olives, and fresh green chilies emerge in the middle. Finishes with a little puckerdness, if you will. This is a fun and magnificent beer.

Draft at Churchkey for CBC. This one poured a dark, nearly black color with a small tan head. Aroma had notes of roasted malts, chilli powder, some bitter coffee-like notes, herbal. Taste was a touch earthy malts, roasted malts, some coco powder and a nice, sweet and spicy character from the finish. Nice capsaicin notes, really enjoyed this one.
