COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Lot of flavor in this stout. Chocolate really comes out on the palate. Pretty drinkable for such a dark one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark black beer with a nice dark beige creamy stable head. Smells like coffee, roasted, chocolate, raisin. Has some nice fruity hints as well. Tastes malt bitter, burnt, chocolaty. Leaves a malt bitter big mouth feel. Great lovable strong stout!

Bottle. Coffee and chocolate aroma, taste is a little bitter with aromas across the palate of more chocolate, hop, almond, and burnt. Nice hoppy stout.

Drank at home. Pours a viscous black with a coffee-colored creamy/foamy head that laces on the way down. Rich roasty malty aromas up front hardly hint at the depth of flavor that awaits. Carbonation is more than expected but hardly competes with the strong flavors. Coffee and chocolate comes though while the hops leave a lingering bitterness. Came out of fridge at 45d; flavors opened up once it warmed slightly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 FL OZ ($5.99) Very good beer. Has a real smokey flavor and is a thick beer. If you see this one and are into strong beer make sure to try this.

Bottle. Full of flavor and very good. Fresh tasting and full of flavors you do not get in every stout. Unique and I liked it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a brown head. Taste roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. I didn't think it was that great. I wouldn't drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2014 12 fl.oz bottle from De Molen Beershop. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, licorice. Tastes are like the aromas, although licorice is more present. Almost overwhelming. Slightly smokey aftertaste. Full body and nice carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pours a black with tan head and lacing, light barely passed. Aroma is mild, bitter chocolate, malt, and slight lactic note. Flavor is roasted malt and slight chocolate sweetness. Balanced, yet nondescript.
