12 oz bottle. Aroma: boozy, malty, and roasty, with hints of coffee, burned sugar, and vanilla. Taste/Palate: thick, sweet, and crisp throughout; finishes astringent and slightly bitter. Would be perfect if not for the strong astringency. Regardless, this is another amazing beer from one of my favorite breweries!

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Poured from a 12oz bottle. Aroma is malty and roasty. Flavor is a bit boozy at first but finishes slightly chalky. Has an ever so slight cherry flavor but I pick up more of a molasses flavor overall. This beer is very smooth and easy drinking for 8.8%. It says on the bottle "taste enlightenment". Yes it is!

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized dark brown colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and a very good lacing. The nice aroma was mild chocolate and dark malt. The mildly vinous semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong dark malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt strong malt toasted malt mild hops chocolate brown malt and dark malt. A wonderful best in class brew.

Green Flash does it again. This has all the flavor and aroma you would expect from a stout. The malts are well balanced and the oats provide the perfect smoothness. Abv is undetectable. Wish this was a little roastier and alittle thicker. Awesome stout though.

Bottle into tulip glass, opaque deep dark brown color with dark tan head. Aroma of heavy roasted malt, dark chocolate, ground coffee, molasses and a faint fruitiness. Taste adds notes of bakers chocolate, dark roast coffee, cream, vanilla, slight woodiness and earthy hop bitterness. Heavy body, low carbonation, rich, creamy with lingering coffee roast finish. Pretty darn good IS, rich and coffee heavy.

Draft at Aces and Ales. Pours black coffee with a beige head. Aroma is molasses, coffee. Taste follows. Pretty smooth, with some chocolate too and coffee bitter finish.
