COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Bottle. Full of flavor and very good. Fresh tasting and full of flavors you do not get in every stout. Unique and I liked it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a brown head. Taste roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. I didn't think it was that great. I wouldn't drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2014 12 fl.oz bottle from De Molen Beershop. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, licorice. Tastes are like the aromas, although licorice is more present. Almost overwhelming. Slightly smokey aftertaste. Full body and nice carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pours a black with tan head and lacing, light barely passed. Aroma is mild, bitter chocolate, malt, and slight lactic note. Flavor is roasted malt and slight chocolate sweetness. Balanced, yet nondescript.

Poured from a tap into a faux beer can glass (?). Great beer, dark color, nice head and lacing. Coffee aroma, but the taste that hits me is chile pepper. I’d get this again.

Aroma is somewhat muted....dark fruits, light chocolate and a touch of smoke. Aromas flow through into the taste of the beer. Just finished a Founders Imperial Stout ..... so you do the math.

Appearance is black, nice head. Black, complex, crisp and tasty with smooth bitterness. Dark fruits - prunes, raisins with dark chocolate, coffee, treacle, some instant coffee, vanilla, soy sauce, a little liquorice. Good, very good. Some alcohol heat but good for the 8.8 content. Great beer, well done.

Black body with a thin head of small tan bubbles. Dates in the aroma along with some caramel, hints of chocolate, and coffee. Toffee, caramel, dates and plums, along with the hints of chocolate and coffee in the taste. A little bit of lingering bitterness.
