COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Very interesting brew. A little harsh at first but complex and tasty at the same time. Pours jet black like oil with a dark foamy short-lived head. Subtle flavors of chocolate, coffee, and dark malts are blended with hints of a more traditional ale taste. Definitely a sipper but worthy of savoring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of smoked malts, and hops, great looking dark brown with a lasting tan well laced head. Dry full bodied feel with a taste of smoke and malt with a mildly phenolic finish.

This is a winner. Up there w Gr Divide Chocolate Yeti or Epic Big Bad Baptist. This is full throttle flavor but everything in the right proportion. Too many dark grogs mess things up by adding too much chocolate malt and it overpowers the rest of the malt. I love a beer that hits it out of the park. My heart skipped a beat or two drinking this 10 oz pour. Not a sissy bier.

No date on the bottle but the import sticker indicates an October 2013 import date (opened 6/4/15). Pours a dark, dark brown with hesitant brown head. Earthy, roasted aromas with some caramel sweetness. Light roast coffee. Somewhat creamy and fruity flavour with hints of chocolate and espresso. Cherries in the late palate. and Burnt sugar and coffee in the finish. Very smooth and a medium body that seems light given the flavour.

Black, creamy brown head. Chocolate, roasty malts, dark fruits. Taste is rather sweet and turns roasty. Finish is smooth, rich and well balanced. No presence of the ABV at all.

Geur oké, heeft iets van frisse vis. Redelijk vol in de mond. Behoorlijk wat alcohol. Niet echt zoet met een ligte bitter aan het einde. Had er iets meer van verwacht. Maar is goed te drinken.

19.6.2014. Appearance is black with brown head. Aroma has plenty of roasted malts, some hops and warmth of alcohol, liquorice. Taste is malty bitter, not sweet, some chocolate. A bit thinner and simpler than expected/hoped. Texture is slightly oily. Slightly hoppy burnt stout.

Aroma is rich dark malts, caramel, rye, espresso, coffee and light earthiness. Taste is an almost chewy mouthfeel and balanced very well with a nice earthy and clove bitterness. Appearance is a dark brown with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Bottle. Pitch blacj with big, light brownish, densed head. Medium lasting. Average lacing. The nice aromas of roasted malts - dark, bitter chocolate and coffee. Also you can experience nice touch of toffee and earthy notes. Taste is medium bitter, toffee, chocolate with some liquorice and vanilla. In general taste is semi-sweet. Full body, oily and velvety texture, soft carbonation. Finish is coffe, semi-sweet and bitter. Little alcohol warming. In general very enjoyable and drinkable RIS.
