COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Bomber. Big, frothy brown head, mostly lasting. Body is opaque black. Malts dominate the aroma of roasted, molassis, dark chocolate and smoke. Hint of resin ad alcohol. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet, lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Great balance between sweet and bitter, though the sweet malts are dominant. Slight metalic taste in the finish, but overall a rich flavor and mouthfeel. Warming alcohol is subdued enough not to turn boozy. Excellent beer.

22 oz. bottle, very dark brown, nearly black with tan head. Nose of dark roasted grains and chocolate. Rather hoppy but well balanced by plentiful sweet malt. Chocolate and coffee flavors dominate but I can taste some molasses. Goes down smooth and has a lively, creamy palate. Another great brew from Green Flash.

As with any Green Flash beer the hops are prominent and I like that being that I am a hop head. It also makes the beer stand out among other stouts. Very delicious. Smooth and creamy. A black ass stout but those hops keep me smiling. It’s not classic. It’s not true to style but it is a tasty brew. A hopheads stout. Unique!

Bottle. Pours as dark a brown as there is with a thick tan foamy head. Nose is roasty malt and lots of chocolate some malted milk notes as well. Palate is thick and fluffy with an oily finish. Flavor is heavy on the malted milk and chocolate with some nice resiny notes and a thick film that resides on the throat after swallowing.
