Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2012 Pours pitch black with a large mocha head. Smells of chocolate and hints of roasted notes. Tastes very bitter, of roasted coffee. Full-bodied with a smooth, gummy texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Green Flash Double Stout finishes with some hop bitterness.

Bottle packing, Coral Sands, Worthing, Barbados, 29/12/11. Glossy, onyx beer with a dirty, toffee-hued head draping the glass with lace. Nordic/English aroma; decaying leaves, coalsmoke, mothballs over softer, Neopolitan undercurrents. Slippery, powdered cocoa and lactose impressions; gentle smoke and roast, a vegetal, carob note. Not a million miles from a Bajan milk stout just a notch less sweet. Just a dash of blueberry-like fruit..and green peppers. Wreathes of smoke for dessert. Restrained, elegant sipper uncomplicated by west coast hop flavours. Really tasty.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2012 Bottle @ home. Green Flash Double Stout pours a deep black apperance with a dark brown appearance that dissipates fairly quickly. S’mores-like aroma with a rich note of cocoa, roast, marshmallow, vanilla, and light espresso. Really a delicious, dessert-like aroma. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Even more roastiness in the taste. Dark chocolate, vanilla, rich cocoa, light coffee, roasty, sweet flavor. Yummy dessert beer! Smooth as hell. I love you.

Aroma of caramel pours a deep black with a beautiful tan head. The taste is big and complex drank out of a snifter on draft.

500 mL bottle. Nice Brit-style Imperial Stout. Looks the part, with a medium, foamy, brown head. Chocolate stands out in the aroma. Chocolate, booze and roast in the flavour. A hint of herbal hops. Body is not huge, but there’s nothing wrong with it. Solid brew.

12oz bottle pours dark black with large frothy head that just lingered. the aroma of chocolate and hints of coffee melded with the dark roasted malt flavor and you get a hint of alcohol in this. the flavor was like where have you been all my life. the deep dark roasted malt flavor with chocolate and hints of coffee and the alcohol burn is hidden but yet distinguishable. this is a fantastic beer.

It poured a deep black color with a dark brown head. The aroma was of chocolate, coffee, raisin and a hint of brown sugar. The flavor was chocolate, coffee and earth. A decent stout!

Pours a very dark tan with a nice head that sticks around. A nice settle smell of malts. The taste is great and the alcohol is hidden pretty well. I would for sure have another one!

Bottle from a trade with beernovice39. Pours black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and chocolate. Burnt malt flavor with chocolate and earthy hops. Full body with minimal carbonation and a slick, creamy mouthfeel. Thanks Mark.
