COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Dark brown, small tan head. Sharp, hoppy, dry roasted malt nose. Sweet, fruity beginning and a bland, chocolate finish. Ends, letting you know it was strong.

Poured from the 22oz inky blackness of hell! Wow, most imperials at least show some light through my intense lamp light. Barely...perfect blackness. Quite sweet, excellent body. Excellent value. Excellent brew.

Received in trade from Prototypic, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a solid black with a fluffy smallish mocha head. Leaves a bit of lace on the sides on the way down the hatch. Smells of chocolate, roasted coffee, slight spicy hop in the background. As it warms I get some dried fruits as well. Taste is chocolate followed by some hop bite finishing with some roast and hops that linger in the palette for a while. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, thick body, light carbonation. Great stout, very creamy roasty chocolaty. Send more.

I haven’t written a review in forever...just had to write this one to say how amazed I was with this beer. Slap a $15/bomber price tag on this puppy with some fancy packaging and you’ve got a top-50 beer. For $10/4-pack, this beer is incredible. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, nuts, toffee (coffee and toffee in the same beer - you f***in kiddin me? america, f*** yeah!). Little bit of ash on the palate, slight dryness. Great f***in beer, put me down for a case.

12oz, new style bottle from grape & gourmet. pours black with a thick, creamy, beige head and great lacing. aroma is great with big, roasted malts, molasses, cold coffee, and chocolate brownie with hints of caramel, toast, vinous fruits, and earth as it warms. flavor is delicious as well with loads of toasted, dark malts, black coffee, and bitter dark chocolate with notes of dusty oats, prunes, and toffee and a hint of sweet vanilla as it warms. palate is medium bodied and silky smooth with great carbonation and a long, roasty finish. overall, an excellent stout.

A deep dark black body that almost absorbs light. A nice brown head that was initially thick and then faded to a small coating, good lace. Aroma had nice roasted malts, mostly of coffee but there was just the right amount of dark chocolate to give it some depth. Initial flavor was of the coffee malts, but the chocolate malts were just enough to take the edge off. Hops came through at the end with just the right amount of bitterness. A somewhat dry finish.

Pour deep brown almost black with large light brown head. Excellent lacing. Aroma coffee, a tad earthy, roasty and vanilla. Taste of grassy bitterness, chocolate, coffee, earthiness and hints of vanilla. MF is outstanding satin velvety smooth with a very fine carb and outstanding mouth coating quality. Great beer very well brewed.
