It's just feels so right in your mouth. Damn near perfection. There's not much more I can say about this. Looks amazing; super thick n dark. Lays it on thick on your palate.

Poured a deep black with a very nice, lacy head. A bit thin in the mouth but the alcohol well hidden.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours deep black with thin foamy tan head. Aroma is medicinal molasses. Taste is much of the same with additional liquorice and, as such, is not really my kinda stout. Smooth mouthfeel and does grow on me after a while, but essentially not my cup of tea.

Black oily pour. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel and roasted malts. Taste is chocolate, caramel and malts. Velvety and smooth. Well built stout. Very enjoyable. Not overwhelming with alcohol which made it easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle poured motor oil black with a quick diminishing head. Aroma had hints of toffee and toasted biscuit. The beer had a nice semi sweet chocolate with bitterness from the hops and roasted barley.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[Bottle] Inky black pour with a lasting cap of deep brown head. Almost a nitro look to the foam. Heavy roasted and charred malts in the aroma. Coffee and bitter chocolate come through strongly. Flavors of ashy malts, burnt toast, coffee grounds, bakers chocolate and some anise. Earthy hops and some alcohol are evident in the finish. Dry overall.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Coffee and chocolate aroma, pours a shiny black. The initial malt flavour is then cleaned away by a dry coffee finish. I like that although it is 8.8%, it doesn’t have the sweet notes of some imperials. You could easily drink a few pints.m
