COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Bottle from Purvis. Masterpiece, full marks. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, milk chocolate, liquorice, and hints of oak. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark, with a frothy and lacey off-white head.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2012 Pours pitch black with a large mocha head. Smells of chocolate and hints of roasted notes. Tastes very bitter, of roasted coffee. Full-bodied with a smooth, gummy texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Green Flash Double Stout finishes with some hop bitterness.

I was totally blown away by this mellow flavorful double stout. Since it's a Green Flash beer I expected to be knocked on my ass by An intense beer, but I'm floored by all the subtle nuances this brew offers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a manly beer. I can feel the hair growing on my chest. Thick and DARK brown, this one has the roasty malty goodness reminiscent of coffee. Pours with a small, but brown head, everything is awesome about this beer. I love it.

No joke this is one of the finest (Double) Stout’s out there. Perfect taste and aroma; drinkability is off the charts. A must try if you can get your hands on it.

355ml bottle. Perfect beer for this wet cold day. Pours thick and black with a very thick coffee coloured head, looks great in the glass. Carries a lot of weight in the glass which is normally the sign of a decent beer. Lots of chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma and the flavour makes your tastes buds dance for joy. Long warmth on the palate and great to the last drop.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours dark black with 2-finger brown head and great lacing. Great look on this one. Nose is roasty toasty dark patent malt, chocoff, molasses, hazelnut, wheaties dipped in brown sugar. Tastes roasty dark malty, with molasses, chocoff, brown sugar, walnut, and a hefty, rich, complex palate that drips with complexity. The repour showed more cacao and jalapeno oily flavors, making this one akin to a mixture of 50% Bell’s Java and 50% St. Arnold Divine #5. Just outstanding!
