COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2012 Pours pitch black with a large mocha head. Smells of chocolate and hints of roasted notes. Tastes very bitter, of roasted coffee. Full-bodied with a smooth, gummy texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Green Flash Double Stout finishes with some hop bitterness.

Bottle from Purvis. Masterpiece, full marks. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, milk chocolate, liquorice, and hints of oak. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark, with a frothy and lacey off-white head.

I was totally blown away by this mellow flavorful double stout. Since it's a Green Flash beer I expected to be knocked on my ass by An intense beer, but I'm floored by all the subtle nuances this brew offers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Heavy smell, smooth flavor and full body. For a beer so dark it feels so light on your tongue but still delivers a full body.

Piwo butelkowe.

I am not a beer aficionado. I actually prefer to drink bourbon. I had this at a restaurant in Irvine along with a prime rib. Very nice pour out of the bottle and great color. Very nice feel. I won’t say I have a sophisticated pallet, but the flavors that jumped out at me were caramel and roasted coffee. I thought it was delicious.

No joke this is one of the finest (Double) Stout’s out there. Perfect taste and aroma; drinkability is off the charts. A must try if you can get your hands on it.
