This English-style Summer Ale has a bright golden color as the name indicates. Cascade hops impart a floral aroma that is accented by citrus notes lent from Chinook hops. The hop flavors mingle with with premium pale malted barley to create a flavorful ale that is crisp and refreshing.

Nice golden/yellow coloring. Some citrusy hints on the nose blend with the light hop characteristics to make a nice aroma (peaches?). Hops are more evident to the taste than on the nose. Clean drink but a slightly bitter finish. A good summer pale.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2005 3/13/03: Pours a pale golden color with a small white head. Light malt nose with a touch of apricot. Flavor: Light sweet tropical fruit start, slightly dry bitter finish with a mildly bitter after taste. 9/30/05: Chuck kicked it up a notch and I re-rated accordingly.

Orange gold color. Small head. Aroma is malty. A medium bodied pale ale. Malty and hoppy. Malts are nutty and fruity – mangos, apricots and peaches. Hops are piney and grapefruity. Well balanced. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This one was descent. I was surprised that it wasn't all hopped out like most SD brews. Some citrus notes, the color was a weak yellow, not much head. I look forward to having more brews from green flash

A very subtle aroma, a touch of maltiness comes through with a dash of hops in the background. A very nice, long lasting, bright white head gives some interesting etchings on the side of the glass. It pours a bright and clear gold, the color of apple juice. A bit bitey in the beginning, it slides out into a rounded malty end. The beginning hop attack is rather piney, but I could stand a bit more a bit sooner. A good pale with an interesting balance, pretty easy drinking with a good flavor.

Somewhere between passing out and cursing at Paypal i actually managed to throw down som perfectly legible notes on this one last night. The pour is a very straight golden, with a non-existant head and let me tell you i tried to get one out of her..i mean the bottle!!! The aroma was very pleasant with raw malt being the predominant smell. Others include peach, doughiness, chessebread (since i happened to be eating some and compared aromas..ha ha) and maybe citrus. The taste is a peachy, malty combo up front which i really really liked. It was nothing sophisticated, but it possessed a modest candy-like sweetness which carressed my tongue. The finish was a dry bittering of a slight hop character. Call me nuts, i liked it.
