3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6407) - Boulder, USA - MAR 13, 2008
Filtered clear honey gold colored body with a white head. Decently hoppy nose - full of dry hop cones, fresh cut grass, dry pine wood, and some yeast character still present even after filtering. Light and oily up front, more frothy with a medium bitterness over the middle, with an airy, light finish. Far less complex than their IPA, but a still good drinker - straightforward hops but light and subdued.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Tycho52 (43) - California, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Poured from the bottle to a golden hue with a thick white head. The aroma is a hoppy floral and fruit.
The beer is medium-bodied and slightly tingly, and the flavor is just like the aroma.

bottle. nothing to get too excited about. It’s golden, it’s pale. it’s and english style.....which doesn’t excite me much. prefer american style pales. not enough hop flavor for me.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 blipp (3920) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2010
Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Off flowery aroma with some toffee like malty notes. Similar flavor with an strange grainy notes. Not bad, but not that good either, especially when sampled after the 30th St. Pale Ale, which was awesome.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rustyham (1396) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 19, 2010
Very smooth and bitter, lots of hops. Quite refreshing, not as astringent as many hoppier west coast pales. On tap at the Brewery.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 kimcgolf (872) - Dacula, Georgia, USA - SEP 17, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2009 Poured from the bottle to a bright golden yellow with a thick white head that exploded from the bottle. Once this finally settled down, it left good lacing on the glass throughout the drink. Nose is hoppy floral, apples and a hint of banana. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and slightly tingly, and the flavor likens the hoppy floral and fruit sensations in the nose.
Not bad for a beer with a comic book name.....too bad it’s retired.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 drowland (3901) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 5, 2009
12oz bottle into a pint glass. I think I must have gotten an old bottle... borderline skunky. Besides that the flavor profile is typical for the style and not bad.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 arrogantb (901) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Well, I love the WC IPA, the barleywine and the tripel so I figured it was time to give this a go. The color is yellow and hazy with a sticky white head. The aromas are faintly metallic with a slight hint of crisp, grassy hops lurking in the background. The flavor is weird, so subtle I almost can’t pick anything out except a slight bitter finish and a tea-like flavor, but wait, lemons!. The mouthfeel is watery but for some reason not in a bad way. I could drink several of these at a time so it would be a good session beer if the flavor was stronger. Although I found this to be slightly above average, the nut brown is next.

12oz bottle from somewhat out west....pours a clear light yellow brown with a small soapy white head....aroma of light grassy hops and very little of anything else.... flavors of sweet malt and light grassy hops. a touch of bitterness in the finish. not all that complex. medium carbonation. not too impressive.

Picked one up in a mix a 6 rack. Light golden color with white head. Light malt taste. Left a nice lace on the glass. That’s all.
