Aroma of candied apples, funky brett yeast, slight oak and sour cherry. Pours red with nice pink film. Taste is wonderfully tart. Sour cherry, crab grass, great wood bourbon notes. Opens with a sharp tartness and finished with a sweet candy finish with sour cherry aftertaste. Simply a wonderful brew.

Draft, Snallygaster. Medium beige head atop red-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry, some wood, light vinous. Taste is moderately sweet, sour cherry, some wood, vinous, faint Bourbon. Medium body, low carbonation, light acidity.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours reddish brown with an orange colored head. The aroma is awesome with big sweet and tart cherries with a little leather, salt and orange. The flavor is the same. Nice sweet and sour, salt, cherries and leather in the finish. Rich on the plate with a touch of cherry syrup. Really tasty.

Tap. Murky red pour. Bourbon, vanilla, and sour tart with cherry in the aroma. Taste is cherry and red wine with bourbon. Coating mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Red waxed bottle. Poured a mahogany color with a thin sized off white head. Vinegar, sour/tart cherries, and some woodiness. Would not have guessed bourbon.

Pours a muddy red, brown. Sour funk very apparent. I get mostly cherry notes amidst the sour that goes on and on. Really perks up the tongue. Happy 5th Anniversary Blue Palms!

A Flanders red is supposed to be tart and fruity, and this one conforms to style. Sour cherries supported by a subtle base of caramel malt. Some mild vinegar and oak notes. Didn’t smell or taste bourbon as others have noticed, but I will admit that the beer was served too cold and drunk so quickly due to its deliciousness that it probably just never had a chance to come out.

30 July 3013, bottle. Red/brown and a bit hazy. Nose is balsamic vinaigrette and some tart cherries. Thin body and fizzy. Tart cherries, almost a dry oakiness, vinaigrette, dry finish. Awesome!

On tap at Belmont Station, pours a a hazy deep dark amber with a small pink-tinted head. Aroma brings out vinegar, tart red fruits, and a bit of wood. Flavour brings out tart red fruits, Worcestershire sauce, and only a hint of the bourbon barrels. Very tart, moderately vinegary, finishing slightly acidic. Solid stuff.

Bottle thanks to Larry, nice dark ruby red pour with a nice white head. Aromas of bourbon, cherries, brown sugar and caramel. Taste is cherries, nice barrel backing, nice tart finish as well, really solid.

From a bottle poured a dark amber color with a fair amount of head. Nice tart malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.
