On tap at Beer Revolution. Aroma is full of fruit with some light oak character and some acidity. Lots of cherries, plums, prunes and currants with some faint vanilla and spice. Light acidity in the aroma but not too acetic. Pours a burnt amber with ruby notes. Solid, slightly off white head with really good retention. Light lacing and very small legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of fruitiness with balanced oak and acuity. Lots of cherry, currant, plum and prune. The acidity compliments and isn't too overpowering - some acetic acid but mostly lactic. Finish has some oak, vanilla and spice character with faint acidity. the finish has a bit of raisin in it and other dried fruit as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium full carbonation. No astringency and low alcohol warmth. A bit of a smoothness to it; the acidity definitely isn't too sharp. Overall this is one of the best American Flanders Ales that I have had. Lots of fruitiness with balanced malt character and acidity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (thanks goodbyeohio)... Poured deep, reddish, dark burgundy with a thin forming khaki head. Aroma of rich, tart cherries with faint barrel and acid. Lots of oak and barrel, but nothing that screamed bourbon here. But that’s ok. Wonderful, ripe, sour cherry pie flavor with acidic tartness, mild acetone, and mild yeasty funk spice. Really nice, especially as it warmed up.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours reddish brown with an orange colored head. The aroma is awesome with big sweet and tart cherries with a little leather, salt and orange. The flavor is the same. Nice sweet and sour, salt, cherries and leather in the finish. Rich on the plate with a touch of cherry syrup. Really tasty.

Red waxed bottle. Poured a mahogany color with a thin sized off white head. Vinegar, sour/tart cherries, and some woodiness. Would not have guessed bourbon.

Pours a muddy red, brown. Sour funk very apparent. I get mostly cherry notes amidst the sour that goes on and on. Really perks up the tongue. Happy 5th Anniversary Blue Palms!

A Flanders red is supposed to be tart and fruity, and this one conforms to style. Sour cherries supported by a subtle base of caramel malt. Some mild vinegar and oak notes. Didn’t smell or taste bourbon as others have noticed, but I will admit that the beer was served too cold and drunk so quickly due to its deliciousness that it probably just never had a chance to come out.

30 July 3013, bottle. Red/brown and a bit hazy. Nose is balsamic vinaigrette and some tart cherries. Thin body and fizzy. Tart cherries, almost a dry oakiness, vinaigrette, dry finish. Awesome! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Belmont Station, pours a a hazy deep dark amber with a small pink-tinted head. Aroma brings out vinegar, tart red fruits, and a bit of wood. Flavour brings out tart red fruits, Worcestershire sauce, and only a hint of the bourbon barrels. Very tart, moderately vinegary, finishing slightly acidic. Solid stuff.

Bottle thanks to Larry, nice dark ruby red pour with a nice white head. Aromas of bourbon, cherries, brown sugar and caramel. Taste is cherries, nice barrel backing, nice tart finish as well, really solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
