On tap at Beer Revolution. Aroma is full of fruit with some light oak character and some acidity. Lots of cherries, plums, prunes and currants with some faint vanilla and spice. Light acidity in the aroma but not too acetic. Pours a burnt amber with ruby notes. Solid, slightly off white head with really good retention. Light lacing and very small legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of fruitiness with balanced oak and acuity. Lots of cherry, currant, plum and prune. The acidity compliments and isn't too overpowering - some acetic acid but mostly lactic. Finish has some oak, vanilla and spice character with faint acidity. the finish has a bit of raisin in it and other dried fruit as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium full carbonation. No astringency and low alcohol warmth. A bit of a smoothness to it; the acidity definitely isn't too sharp. Overall this is one of the best American Flanders Ales that I have had. Lots of fruitiness with balanced malt character and acidity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at SBWF 2015. Reddish/brown with a small head. Nicely tart with bourbon, cherries, yoghurt and some vinegar. Really refreshing and nicely drinkable. An excellent beer.

Bottle at Sour’d. Poured a clear burnt reddish amber with a small foamy light beige head. Aroma is just horrible, basically alcoholic nail polish remover. Flavor is better, vinegar, oak, bourbon and nail polish remover. Harsh acidic body with a lingering burn on the aftertaste.

Woody lactic sour aroma with a nice vanilla bourbon finish. Sour maybe 6 of 10. Really complex full flavored full bodied and great Flanders sour. Reminds me of what la follie used to be bit with some bourbon flavors. La follie is still good, just tastes a bit lighter to me now ( had one along with this one) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sour aroma for soured wine and vinegar. Taste of tartness lemon peel and vinegar with some oak. Just kind f like an old sherried wine that wasn’t aged well then carbonated.

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Not sure when I originally had this, but it was the original bottling. Brownish red. Small cream-colored collar. Acetic and oaky aroma. Vanilla. Caramel. I don’t get much bourbon directly, but the vanilla and oak play nicely with the acidity. Taste is moderate acetic sourness. Caramel malts. Bourbon is much more prominent here, along with a nice vanilla and malty flavor lingering in the back. I seldom say something isn’t sour enough, but I think this could use a bit more. Well carbonated. Overall - Smells great, but the flavors are a little tame. (

Great balance of fruit, oak, and acidity. Moderately sour and dances across the palate. My favorite at Cellar 3.
