Commercial Description:
Our Belgian Style Dark Ale is inspired by traditional Abbey Ales to deliver the richest of malt flavors but with a slightly elevated hopping and increased complexity given from two different yeast strains. This malt laden ale is designed to satiate and keep your taste buds dancing.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a large frothy brown head that retained for a long time due to the vigorous carbonation. The nose is fruity dark malts with a bit of alcohol, and heavy candi and brown sugars. The flavor is sort of non-descript, dark fruits and a heavy yeast influence and prominent alcohol. A lot of residual candi sugar sweetness. Mouthfeel is heavy and thick with a cloying stickiness and soft fizzy carbonation. Very very warming. Overall, this was just not that big of a pleasure to drink. Big and messy. Stick to IPAs and hoppy stuff Green Flash!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of bu11zeye. Hazy orangey brown with a beige head. Aroma of overripe fruit, yeast and dried fruit - alcohol also. Quite full-bodied, dried and overripe fruit and a fairly hoppy finish. 120609

Draft at the brewery. A dark red-brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and caramel, as well as lighter notes of roasted malt. The flavor is very sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also lighter notes of roasted malt.

Thanks LtDan. Dark brown pour, moderate tan head, only temporary lace. Fruity malt and alcohol and the nose. Aroma has good travel and duration. The malty flavor is equal parts dried fruit, fig and prune, and a sour flavor somewhere between sour cherries, sour milk, and plastic. Dry-hopping evident is a lemon-citric shine on the finish. Medium body, smooth palate, strong warming.

Soapy aroma along with some yeast and spice. Brown mahogany hued body with biege head. Flavor has some sweet sugary candy, licorice, medium texture to the body with some alcohol presence. Smooth on the palate with mild sweet, roasty, spicy aftertaste. Ok beer.
