3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Spicy aroma with toasted malt notes. dark and brooding with a thin head. Belgian yeast makes this spicy beer more pleasurable with the combination of other malted ingredients. Hops are not really present and the residual sweetness is not quite balanced, but still enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 fl. oz. bottle picked up @Kihoskh, København. A tall big-bubbled sand-colored head, resting on a clear ruby-brown body. Nutty aroma with notes of flowers and straw. Also a quite unusual scent, reminscent of spiced licorice. Well-bodied. Taste is complex. Slightly sweet, nutty, spiced dark caramel, tinned fruits, and an earthy bitterness underneath. Bitter-sweet, spiced malty ending. A special one. Good indeed.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. aromas of Caramel and toast. Dark brown color almost a light black, think looking beer, could not see through it. Taste was very complex with a heavy sweetness to it and the flavors become even more complex as it warmed. very satisfying on the palate, full and lively carbonation on the tongue, with a long finish. Overall I was surprised by the beer and really enjoyed it. I will look for other offerings from Green Flash.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Glowing brown and red body with bubbly tan head. Light aroma yet balanced and intelligent. Fermenting fruit, spruce, earthy, cheese... Lots going on. Rich taste profile, good bitterness to balance. Very nice drinkable, bit too spiced luckily. Great stuff. (Stubbie from Bière Révolution)

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled December 30, 2012.
Appearance: The body has a slight haze in the deep garnet to mahogany hues, a dense light tan head quickly becomes a thick coating.
Aroma: At first the aroma of faded citrusy American hops is noted, but they quickly give way to a spicy dough aroma with musky raisin aromas resembling an aged barleywine. Hints of brown sugar are noticed upon swirling, though the aroma seems very confused.
Taste: This drinks more like an aged American barleywine with remnants of grapefruit hops and a light bitterness backed by a strong musky raisin aroma. The finish is lightly spiced of pepper and bready notes.
Palate: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This beer doesn’t know what it wants to be. This is confusing for the palate and comes off as unappealing. Green Flash went tried far too hard to make a complex beer, but instead it comes off as overarching.
