3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a deep golden-orange with a huge long-lasting frothy off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma of hops -- piney, hempy and resiny -- along with bready malt, alcohol and a bit of fruit. Flavour of piney hops, alcohol, some tropical fruit and a big bitter finish. Medium bodied. A bit too boozy, just pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Glass at Beer Revolution. Pours slight cloudy reddish copper with off white foamy head. Smell is malty with some citrus and musty wet grass. Was expecting more citrus. Taste is malty, honey, mildly bitter citrus. Not sure if the batch was good, but lots of malt. Not very IPA like.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A real hop bomb. Plenty of burn. Extreme citrus, lemony acidic nose and taste. Orange amber body with very thin wispy head. Extremely bitter, but tasty, in small sips.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 1/20
02.01.15 best by.
Poured from a 12 oz into a tulip on 11.15.14.
A: Ketchup. It’s very malty. It has some slight citrus. The hops should be fine according to the best by date.
A: 1 1/2 finger head. Hazy orange body.
T: Ketchup and a bitter, lip-puckering sting dominate.
P: Who cares.
O: This was not enjoyable on the first sip. It was not citrusy. I could not get the bitter ketchup taste out of my mouth. Yuck! This was a drain pour.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Grassy, spicy, floral aroma. Hops smell of both the citrus and pine variety. I can detect a moderately strong malt backbone to balance things out. The only drawback is that I thought the aroma would be stronger for 10.1 ABV. Very unique dark orange color bordering on Crimson. Sticky and clingy all white head. Tastes of honey sweetness at first, then the hops come in. They taste citrusy but not overwhelming. Hops last well into the aftertaste with the malt sweetness mixing with it all the way until the next sip. Has a slight booze burn. Not overly heavy. Surprisingly refreshing, would be a great summer beer. Palate is ideal for a DIPA. Just enough carbonation, slick and slightly oily. Overall fantastic. Almost as good as hop slam, way cheaper and easier to get.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pine element of the aroma is really prominent, with over-ripe fruits lurking behind. Malts come out in the flavour alongside orange and peach notes. Medium bodied and oily. Draak orange, small head. Alcohol is strong in the finish but not overpowering.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle [from Secret Santa 2014 edition thanks to beerandblues2] @ home. Clear orange golden color, full sized white to off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, hops, slightly sweetish floral. Taste malts, hops, resin and pine suddenly kick in which was what I was waiting for and it’s finished with good firm bitterness that absolutely suits the beer perfectly. Good firm bitter finish. Pretty good DIPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co. and snifter served, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a presentable layer of off white/light tan head foam, and curtainy waves of lacing that reduced to a plethora of clingy spots. The nose was pronounced & expressive tangerine, tropical, and some lesser grapefruit & resiny notes, complemented by a fair dose of malt sweetness. The taste continued similarly, with the sweetness comingling well with a hefty citrus & rind-like hop bitterness that lingered strongly into the finish. Medium+ bodied, with decent carbonation, the alcohol was noticeable, and left a nice warming flush to the cheeks before making sure that every drop was gone. With so many Imperials out there, I was impressed with the "quaffability" of this one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355ml bottle, pours golden brown, almost clear with just a light haze and a white head. Aroma is aggressive, piney hop and cara malts, peppery, sweet to start with a light bitterness balancing. Boozy, but it is a strong beer. Holds it all together well and very drinkable for the abv. Body is medum, texture oily, carbonation fairly lively.
