A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

Bottle. Nice amber orange colored brew with a thin off white head. This has a sweet cake like nose with notes of light perfume. Bits of peaches are in place. Flavors of walnuts and bread crust are present with each drink. This is a little bit piney on the back end. Not much in the way of citrus. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft.

Bottle (12 oz). Almost clear bright golden/orange with a huge off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is malty with juicy hops, sweetness and boozy notes. Taste is moderately to heavily sweet with malt, juicy hops, alcohol and moderate bitterness. Medium to heavy body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Dry finish. Harsh Triple IPA. Average balance. Not bad for the style, but not a style that I really appreciate.

Bottle 355ml. Pours golden with low light beige head. Some lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, fruits, malt, sugar, alcohol. Taste is of citrus, pine, resin, malt, sugar, bitterness, alcohol. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Overall: Boozy, certainly more than most double ipa’s. Pretty hoppy. Not an everyday beer, but a treat. Quick buzz, nothing too subtle here.

Tasted on 11/7/13 from a crown-capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Grand Cru. Pours bright orange with a very thick and dense white head that slowly recedes to dense, rocky lace. The nose is pine, citrus, and plenty of tropical fruit aroma with a bit of caramel malt and a nice dose of earthy yeast. The flavor is a bit sweeter than expected, focused on the tropical fruit, with the more piney and bitter hops coming through on the back of the palate, with some nice caramel malt. The body is very full and sticky with average carbonation and a long tropical fruit, and nicely bitter finish.

Slightly amber gold color with a decent white head. Aroma is somewhat floral wit a bit of pine. Flavor is nicely balanced for such a strong beer. Nice bright hops without being overly bitter. A little sweet from the alcohol without being cloying. The strength is noticeable but not overwhelming at all. Quite excellent. Wife: 3.9

Not sure if you would want to drink this while having Tacos (and I mean real tacos not Taco Bell). The alcohol content just adds too much bitterness and negates the usual citrus that works with spicy food. Maybe a Thai Curry would work. ---Rated via Beer Buddy by Jamie Lynn Morgan

Pours an orange with with a full, frothy, long lasting white head. The aroma is rather heavy. It has pine, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and resin. Taste is more potent than the nose was. There is strong pine and mango initially. Pineapple comes through later, with grapefruit more apparent at the end. The pine flavor remains throughout the sip. Aftertaste is pine, mango, and grapefruit. This one has a good bitter, hoppy kick to it. It is kind of sweet as well. Full in body, a thick yet sticky texture, with a good amount of carbonation. You feel the strength in here, it isn’t subtle at all. It is good. But for whatever reason, I can’t put this among my favorites of this style. Probably because I prefer these less sweet.

Pours a lightly hazy orange with a medium creamy white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, toasted malt and Cheerios. Flavor of Cheerios, piney and light grapefruit hops. More malty and less hoppy than expected.

TRIPLE IPA? What the....? Has a super dank smell with a little whiff of anise. Taste is hop bomb all the way. Like a super charged version of the West Coast IPA. Tiny burn, but from the hops, not the booze, though that’s noticeable as it warms up in the snifter a little. Pretty good and right in line with Green Flash’s hoppy lineup.

On tap at North River Tavern. Pours a clear copper pour with a thin fizzy white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and floral hops. Very hop forward. Not as thick a pour as I like, but good all the same. Nice sharp butter finish.
