A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours as you’d expect, warmly orange, well topped with whipped foam. The aroma hints at sweet and orange, and indeed those are the predominate characteristics in the drink ... mandarin, orange rind ... bit of an acidic sting ... little bit of a wild bite. But overall, exceptionally easy to drink for a 10% beer, to say the least. More sweet than bitter. Good stuff. (#5305, 10/31/2013)

Bottled. Poured brilliant golden with a sticky, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up fresh orange, pineapple, and grassy hoppage over fairly soft biscuit and honeyed malts.. peppery and assertive on the back of the nose. The flavor found a bitter blend of citrus and grassy hops paired with peppery alcohol throughout.. the base was simple and a touch on the sweet side, and it worked sufficiently.. spicy and a bit boozy on the long, belly-warming finish. Heavier-bodied and the alcohol amplified the bitterness too much in a few places on the palate.. overall a decent flow.. good beer.

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Better than I expected. Inviting aroma of piney hops and loads of pineapple. Taste flows suit with a nice sweetness, great mouthfeel, and excellent balance. An easy drinker. The abv barely shows up. Just as hoppy and bitter in the finish as you would expect from green flash, but I found this to be much easier to drink than their other offerings. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep Golden color. White head. Tremendous pine. Very dank and resinous. Nice bitter bite on the finish. Some citrus present. Takes a backseat to the pine. Sticky caramel malt on the lips.

Bottle from Proof. Glowing amber pour with a bubbly white head. Onion, dank, resinous, citrus and thick caramel malt. Flavor is very similar with a thick chewy resinous body. Full bodied and a bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours an apricot orangey-amber, thin white head with okay retention and decent lacing. Nose is peach, grass, malt, piss. Mouth is syrupy, medium sweet, artificial orange, cereal, malt, Juicy Fruit gum, lemon, mildly bitter. After some really good DIPAs from Green Flash, I’m really disappointed in this one.-- especially considering the price. Bullet? Nah, more like ’Green Blanks’, yo.

Bottle. Lots of gum, tropical fruit / guava / mango, bell pepper, light solvent when warm, some dirty ethanol, resin and orange oil. I can see similarities to Nelson and other Kiwi hops with such a strong tutti-frutti bubble gum and floral tropical fruit aroma. I think the design was to have high acid hops cut the sugary malt, okay so it does that well, but that’s what double IPA often is. I picked this up in order to give Green Bullet hops another try but i definitely don’t think much of them. Better than Cites or Mosaic but nothing like Nelsons for me in this beer. The nice thing is that the body is soft, the carbonation low and creamy, just too sweet and too bitter.
