A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

I keep going back and forth on this beer because I’m not impressed by bottle #1, but by the end of #2 I warm up to it...which is likely the high ABV.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready maltsy tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste.

Pours copper with a big foamy head. A really strong malty aroma. A huge malty kick in the teeth! Amazing.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange hue, very bright with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity resin nose. The aroma is just like a triple IPA. The flavor is more sugary tropical resin, mango, oranges, lemon zest. There is some bitterness, but mostly rich tropical sweetness. Quite good. The alcohol is well hidden in some ways despite being a really big beer with a lot of warmth (to style I’d add).

Bottle from The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a hazy amber colour wig a foamy white head. Aroma of melon, grapefruit, mango, some caramel, slight pine, a little peach, subtle blackberry and dark berries. Taste of melon, grapefruit, mango, peach, some orange, slight blackberry, other dark berries, a little resin and earthy, floral hops. Full bodied and an oily texture. A long, dry, resinous, floral hop bitterness in the finish. A lot of citrusy and resinous hops in this, the NZ hops work brilliantly. A lot of hop bitterness with great sweetness and no alcoholic backlash. Lovely and well balanced. The best IIPA so far.
