A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

Tasted on 11/7/13 from a crown-capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Grand Cru. Pours bright orange with a very thick and dense white head that slowly recedes to dense, rocky lace. The nose is pine, citrus, and plenty of tropical fruit aroma with a bit of caramel malt and a nice dose of earthy yeast. The flavor is a bit sweeter than expected, focused on the tropical fruit, with the more piney and bitter hops coming through on the back of the palate, with some nice caramel malt. The body is very full and sticky with average carbonation and a long tropical fruit, and nicely bitter finish.

Chilled single from Wholefoods Fremont, CA. Not much to say about this beer. Hops could have been from Mars. Odd opening; hard to fix, maybe cabbage? Alcohol present in a big way. Hoppy finish, but not terribly interesting. Not a fan and maybe my introduction to Green Flash via Palate Wrecker was a high point.

Pours from 12oz bottle a clear copper color with a large off-white head. Aroma is citrus and floral hops, oranges, cookie and bread malts, and light lemon. Flavour was well balanced but slightly favors the hops, with notes of citrus, pine and resin, along with a slight pepperiness. Not overly agressive bitterness, drinks well, dangerous.

on draft in goblet at Cole’s Buffalo. Fantastic hoppy pine and citrus aroma from the pour. Dark amber colour. Laces glass well. Noticeably strong, but hides that huge 10% well..

Bottle from Craft Beer Base. Clear amber gold with small head. Really fresh, pine hop aroma. Flavour has a nice sweet malt character that isn’t overpowering, lots of nice fruity and piney hops. Great bitter finish. Incredibly light for the style, but in a good way.

Get a little of the alcohol going down but mostly the high abv is well hidden. A hoppy, bitter, well made west coast imperial IPA. Not really more to say. Worth a try if you like to try lots of different DIPA but there are others I prefer to get on a more regular basis.

355ml bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber. Thin, glossy, lasting, cream coloured head. Spicy, ginger biscuit sweet, malts. Nicely fusty, dank, orangey hop. Some tinned pineapple. Strawberry toffee. Some pungent, piny hop, too. All DIPA boxes ticked. Taste is chewy sweet. Piny, resinous bitter. Dank, citrus fruit, pithy bitter. Palate is full, oily, and chewy. Doesn’t particularly feel 10% though. Finishes chewy sweet, then long, resinous, pithy bitter. Didn’t want this one to end.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Hazy, amber-gold with a 3-finger buff-yellow head and very good lacing. Intense aroma with, grapefruit, pine, tropical fruit, grass and caramel. Taste of floral hops, grapefruit, pine/spruce, grass, orange, tropical fruit and caramel. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonization. A robust IPA with a blend of several hoppy characteristics and enough malt to provide decent balance. Very tasty and certainly interesting. I would place it among, but not necessarily above most other high-end DIPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Advertised on the bottle as a Triple IPA but does not have the hop-hit of most DIPAs. Still tasty stuff, masks its extreme ABV percentage well and has a pleasing aftertaste to boot. In this instance a bottled bomber lives up to the bomber moniker. One in the glass and another in the fridge will keep one warm on a rainy winter desert night.

Bottle, thanks Peter. Aroma: caramel, floral, tropical fruits, grapefruit, a touch of chocolate. App: clear copper with white head not lasting. Taste and palate: medium body, high carbonation, medium sweetness and long lasting medium dry finish. Overall: aroma is medium but palate is just wow...really wasn’t expecting that great finish. Definitely a great surprise.
