Bottle shared at The Kernel - London. Many thanks to The Peter for this one! Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has some dead, ripening orange and slight honey. Medium sweet flavor with crackery pale malts, pine, alcohol, rich citrus and bread. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming to finish, moderately resinous, with big alcohol and some dried bread. OK.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours golden amber with a foamy whitish head. Aroma is primarily resin. Some floral. Med body, maybe better. Starts rather floral and tropical. Moves on to something suggesting raisin. Moves back towards tropical/resin. It’s pretty hoppy, and fairly bitter. Very unusual (to me) hop profile. A little woody? Keeps changing. Nice drink.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong Ale 2012. Orange pour with a white head. Really nice grapefruit, pine, and pineapple aroma. Some floral notes, a bit of bread sweetness, caramel, and tangerine. Really nice hop character to the flavor. Tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, and pine. A moderate bitterness to balance out the sweetness of the caramel and bread.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
clear yellow, smooth offwhite head.
mild but quite bitter hoppy aroma.
flavor is very bitter hoppy, slightly malty, kinda one-sided, an DIPA with just loads of all without much attention to detail. reminds me of some of the stronger rogue ipa’s.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus and spruce aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy complex bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This is a solid beer that surpassed my expectations.

Bottle pour (Līgo Ziema 2014, Riga)
"Triple IPA"? Sorry, guys, I have to break it to you, your penises really are just a bit too short, and there’s nothing that you can brew that will change that, so stop trying to compensate. Mid gold. Sweet hoppy mess. Unbalanced. Classic American WTF.
