3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a near clear golden amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has bitter pine and citrus with backing notes of sweet grain, caramel and musty tropical fruits. Flavor starts with bitter pine hops but finish has notes if earthy citrus, earthy tropical fruits and sweet grains.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours as you’d expect, warmly orange, well topped with whipped foam. The aroma hints at sweet and orange, and indeed those are the predominate characteristics in the drink ... mandarin, orange rind ... bit of an acidic sting ... little bit of a wild bite. But overall, exceptionally easy to drink for a 10% beer, to say the least. More sweet than bitter. Good stuff. (#5305, 10/31/2013)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, 18/05/13.
Nose is hops, caramel malt, citrus, bitter orange, hint of pine.
Taste comprises hops, pine resin, caramel malt, sugars, bitter fruits, citrus.
Full bodied with fine carbonation pitched at a level to keep this drinkable.
OK DIPA - not too much depth to it or ’wow’ factor but delivers the goods.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at The Lackman, served in a snifter. Pours a clear, deep gold with a small white head that leaves streaks in the glass. Aroma of marijuana, very herbal and peppery - maybe it’s the ’Green Bullet’ name, but this has me thinking of straight hop pellets. Same in the flavor, which has onion, herbs, and chives. Medium-bodied, with a bitter, herbal mouthfeel that has balancing malts and a boozy finish. Moderate carbonation. Big, interesting double IPA. Better than indicated by the word of mouth I’ve heard recently.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour out of 375 mL bottle, clear orange pour with white head, not lacing but lasting, aroma brought notes of big tropical fruit, nice grapefruit, zesty lemon notes, hints of pineapple, slight biscuit and bread in there as well. Taste is a mix of big pineapple, pine, grass, into grapefruit and orange, sweet jammy notes into caramel, toffee, slight biscuit, hints of zest, finishing fairly bitter, slightly sweet.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Holy Grail. Orange with a white head. This IPA is all about the tropical fruit. I get some nice apricot and pineapple notes in the aroma. The flavor is also very hoppy. The pineapple and mango notes come through up front, with some nice pine notes also being present. The beer is fairly bitter but there is a hint of biscuit malt. The alcohol is also noticeable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Really enjoyed this one.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Slight haze in this golden yellow pour. White spotty head. Pine and pineapple aroma and taste. Would never guess double digit ABV. Nice beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Nice amber orange colored brew with a thin off white head. This has a sweet cake like nose with notes of light perfume. Bits of peaches are in place. Flavors of walnuts and bread crust are present with each drink. This is a little bit piney on the back end. Not much in the way of citrus. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft.
