COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

9/20/2013: Green Flash Green Bullet... H-O-L-Y--S-H-I-T! This beer is just so far over-the-top itís ridiculous and I donít necessarily mean that in a good way. After the Southern Tier Warlock blew, they put on a keg of this. I was happy to try it, especially since everybody else was so excited by the beer, but Iím not as enamored with it as them. So much so that I had a few samples just to make sure I wasnít missing anything. Iíll be honest, this beer is an illustration of when more is not necessarily better. They managed to cram so many hops into this beer that it smells like cheese - that pungenty aroma hops get when they oxidize. To me, no pine, citrus, or tropical fruits that I now see mentioned in the description that I would have really liked to have in the actual beer. I did get some apricot in the finish, but thatís about it besides the alcohol. Donít get me wrong, this beer has a substantial level of bitterness, but it isnít a bright or clean bitterness and it is just a confusing assault of flavors that arenít harmonious. To top it off, the alcohol just oozes out of the flavor. This beer is not to be taken lightly in any regard; itís a mouthful of malt, HOPS, and alochol. Itís dangerous and can definitely knock you down. Apparently Iím one of the few there (the only one, actually) that didnít really think that this beer was all that and a bag of chips. Guess I miss out, but no biggie since I have plenty of other beer to drink anyway! Draught sample(s) at Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #90 for this beer.

Bottle. Lightly colored, a pale fawn hue. Filtered with such purity that, were you to fill the ocean with this stuff, youíd probably be able to see clear to the bottom. Trips to the beach would also be a lot more interesting. A rich, sticky aroma, so pungent itís almost vinegary. Fresh-cut grass, orange blossom and black pepper quickly give way to fruitier notes like passion fruit. The flavor is deceptively sweet. Malt provides a subtle caramel note and simple syrup-style sugars, but most of the saccharine flavors seem to come from the hops, as pine and mint are replaced with tangerine, pineapple and Juicyfruit gum. Very pungent -- you can feel the heaviness of the alcohol and the hop oils. Medium-bodied, a little heavy with alcohol. You can feel the hop oils on the tongue. Mild carbonation. Too tasty and drinkable for its own good.

Draught. Cloudy orange. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, candied sugar. Taste is sweet, and solid bitterness. Palate is chewy, sticky, and a very lasting dry finish.

On tap at Hopleaf. Pours orange with a thick creamy head, leaning lots of nice lacing. Aroma is resinous and citrusy. In the mouth it has a medium body and moderate carbonation. Taste is aggressively bitter with loads of grape fruit and tangerine.

Poured from a 22. Perfect IPA aroma. Flavor has a great hoppy bite with a sweet finish. Has a barnyard flavor to it too. Overall a pretty great and standard IPA offering.

Yummy. Pours a darker orange with amber hues and a thin but demse off white head. The aroma is thick with hoppy notes. Saturated with pine and citrus notes. Light caramel and crystal malts and a few tropical notes. The back end is forceful and bitter with a dryness. Beauty resin filled palate, thick and oily.
