A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

The beer had a clear body, golden amber color, and a one finger thick head. The carbonation looked gentle, and was comprised of some very fine bubbles. The smell of the beer was quite a bit milder than what I expected a Triple IPA to be. I could detect grapefruit and hay, and some pine. The taste was much hoppier than the smell, with a grapefruit laden, tongue tingling, hop bitterness. The alcohol was very well hidden, and the beer felt nowhere near 10% ABV. The body was medium dense, but much lighter than a typical beer of this strength, and the finish was herbal and long. This was a great find for a hophead like me.

22 bomber to tulip. Pours clear deep gold, cream small head. Aroma of earth, citrus peel, pine, tar, old attic. Taste of same with lots of hop spice and bitter. Heavy on the booze. 10.1 abv. Pretty well balanced for a triple.

Another full-throttle imperial from Green Flash. I have to say it is superbly balanced, despite the hops turned up to 10. I’m enjoying it. Bomber. Small note: Their machine didn’t stamp the best by correctly. It is still legible way off axis, but everything counts! If you are going to provide the info, which is important, it needs to be in the designated space and easy to read.

Smells like a gym sock. But, surprisingly tasty. Malty profile overpowered by piney hoppiness. Opaque and nice lacing. Bitter astringency. Tastes alcoholic.

Starts out great with all good hop aromas. Crystal clear. Taste really harsh and astringent. Palate is off. Hops didn’t seem to mesh with this one.

Excited. Pour from bottle to teku. Hazy sunny-orange pour with fairly tight head. Nose is explosive pine and juiciness. Nearly as if exploring a thick coniferous wood blanketed by sweet blossoming flowers below. Intense prickle alongside ripe peach, mango, and pineapple. The flavor boasting, yet again, that miraculous pine, surrounded by fresh mint and herbs, a sticky tropical undertone carries it all. Alcohol? You think this hop assault wouldn’t be able to hide it? The deep northwest came to San Diego for this one. One of the better and more drinkable triples. Cheers, salud, slainte, prost. Enjoy!

I smell pine and tropical fruit and I taste more of the same: grapefruit, mango, pine and a bit of pineapple. Mouth-puckeringly bitter - in a damn good way with the booze well-hidden, only coming out to play after a few swallows. For a brewery known for being aggressive with its hops, this is surprisingly subtle. My kind of Triple IPA.

APPEARANCE - Light, hazy, foamy, amber, 1FH that dissipates. AROMA/SCENT - Hops, malts, yeast, fruit, sweet. TASTE - Hops, slightly bitter, pine. MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Dry, clean, light, refreshing. VALUE - $4.75 for a 12-oz bottle. Cheap. OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - A bit mild for me.

355ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, shared with djoeye. Clear golden body. Beige head some of it remaining. Dried fruity smell, some vapour of alcohol. Flavoured of almond, honey, pine and dried fruits. Heavy stuff with noticeable alcohol. Alright, far from great though (Tromsø 27.07.2015).
