A full-bodied Triple IPA, Green Bullet combines New Zealand grown Pacific Gem and Green Bullet hops. Significant pine and citrus hoppiness hit the palate at first sip, accentuated by tropical notes of mango and pineapple, ending with a moderately aggressive, bitter finish.

The beer had a clear body, golden amber color, and a one finger thick head. The carbonation looked gentle, and was comprised of some very fine bubbles. The smell of the beer was quite a bit milder than what I expected a Triple IPA to be. I could detect grapefruit and hay, and some pine. The taste was much hoppier than the smell, with a grapefruit laden, tongue tingling, hop bitterness. The alcohol was very well hidden, and the beer felt nowhere near 10% ABV. The body was medium dense, but much lighter than a typical beer of this strength, and the finish was herbal and long. This was a great find for a hophead like me.

Pours oily, dense peachy golden with a thin off white head with some lacing. Nose is a little meaty, very strong citrus and floral hops, actually smells like hops rather than citrus or flowers, balanced but fiercely bitter flavors, oily dense mouthfeel, long bitter aftertaste, quite acidic, pretty good.

Aromas of strawberries, tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, peach. Clear deep orange, nicely retaining white head. Malty, boozy, candied fruit flavors, hops for days. Medium bodied, sticky.

12oz bottle pours a clear orange with lots of frothy, sudsy, lacing white head. Nose is kind of like cutting open a pouch of hop pellet, really fresh/dank green cut grass, a little lemon curd, some soap, sort of a wet aloe thing happening too. Flavor has more of that lemon curd, sweet and bitter at the same time, some soap and more of that aloe character, but mostly just grass, like the stuff that clumps to the bottom of the mower. Crisp finish. A different take.

A Fresh Bottle - the pour is clear, medium gold, with a fine bubbled off white head into this glass - it retains on the average side, with some sticky lacing presence here. The nose is cream, dank hop notes with grass and earth, moving to the pine notes, marriaged with the tropical feel you’d expect. Lime, Graham cracker, orange notes - the new zealand hops are impart a different feel. The flavor profile is creamy, robust, bittering hops masked by a stronger than expected malt bill - caramel, grahm cracker, moving to orange, lime juice, and grassy notes moving forward. It’s a robust feel - It’s also a little muddled honestly - However, it does mask the alcohol fairly well here. Anyway - a different take on a heavy hopped brew that brings a decent change of pace .

Taste the mango straight away, and it wasn’t as harsh as a triple should be. Was very pleased with how easy this drank. Nice lacing and glorious aftertaste.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market, Bowery, New York, NY. A dark amber/golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, some tropical fruit, quite a bitter finish to this one. Still very good.
